NOTICE

Of Closing of certain Roads in the Corstorphine Road District.

WHEREAS it is intended to stop up that Road which is described in the Schedule hereunder written, and which is also delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the "Caversham and Green Island Districts Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864," a copy of which map or plan is deposited at the Public School of Caversham.

Now therefore I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in this behalf by the "Caversham and Green Island Districts Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864," do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of the said Road, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objection they may have to the stopping up of the said Road, and to leave such statement addressed to me at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the date hereof, otherwise such objections shall not be considered by me.

SCHEDULE.

Twenty-one chains in length, sixty links wide, from north end of Section 76, Ocean Beach District, to south end of Section 76, Ocean Beach District : bounded on the west by Section 75, East ; Section 76, Ocean Beach District.

NOTICE. — The Offices of the General Government throughout the Province will be closed on Thursday, the 20th February, with the exception of the Telegraph Offices, which will be open from 10 to 11 a.m., and from 5 to 6 p.m.

In the matter of the "Bankruptcy Act, 1867."

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that EDWIN PHILP, of Roslyn, near Dunedin, plasterer, has this day filed a declaration of Insolvency in the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that PATRICK JOHNSTON, of Tokomairiro, settler, has this fourteenth day of February, 1868, been adjudicated a bankrupt.

A meeting of the bankrupt’s creditors is appointed to be held at the Court House, Dunedin, on Saturday, the twenty-second day of February instant, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Friday, the 21st day of February instant, has been fixed by His Honor the Judge as a public sitting of this Honorable Court for ANCHE SMITH WILSON, of Dunedin, manufacturer of Aerated Waters; and MARTIN BUTLER, of Hamilton’s, Gold-miner, to attend at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, to pass their last examination, and make application for their final discharge in pursuance of "The Bankruptcy Act, 1867."
