APPLICATION FOR DEPASTURING LEASE
OUTSIDE HUNDREDS.--Notice is hereby
given that the following Application for a Depasturing
Lease has been made to the Waste Land Board, in
accordance with the provisions of the 91st Section of
the Otago Waste Land Act, 1866 --"Any person desiring to
object to the grant of such lease may do so
"by lodging with the Board, within three months
"after the first publication in the Provincial Gazette of
"the said application, a statement in writing of the
"grounds of his objection, and no objection made after
"the said period of three months shall be entertained
"by the Board."

REMARKS.--High winds occurred from S.W. on 12th,
13th, 20th, 21st, 28th, and 29th; and from S. on 24th.
Lunar halo seen on 5th. Thunderstorm on 6th. Snow
fell on 25th. Hail fell on 6th, 12th, and 20th. The
results noted by the self-registering instruments, where
the dates are given, were recorded at the morning's
observation, and therefore occurred during the preceding
24 hours.

MUNICIPALITY OF CROMWELL.--I hereby
give notice the Assessment of all Buildings,
Land, Tenements, and Hereditaments within the Municipality of Cromwell, was allowed by the Council on
the 9th day of December instant, and that such assessment may be inspected at my office between the hours
of 11 A.M. and 1 P.M., up to the 30th instant. And I
further give notice that any appeals against the said
assessment must be lodged at my office not later than
noon on the 30th day of December instant.

part, was filed in the Supreme Court Office, Dunedin,
on the following day.
