ADVERTISEMENT SHEET.

ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—

29th October, noon, 3 cows and a heifer will be sold at South Tokomairiro Pound, a horse will be sold at South Dunedin Pound, a light brown mare will be sold at Balclutha Pound.

15th November, Friday, noon, a bay mare will be sold at East Taieri Pound.

27th Nov., Wednesday, 10 a.m., parties wishing to inspect site of works &c., for Kurimoto Road District to apply to J. L. Lander, treasurer.

2nd December, Monday, noon, tenders due for work required by Kurimoto Road Board.

OTANOMOMO.—Notice.

The ratepayers in the Otanomomo Road District not having complied with the terms of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” in the election of a Local Board of Road Trustees for the year current. Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the ratepayers is appointed to be held for that purpose on Saturday, 30th November, at the house of Mr. Thomas Bishop, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

NOTICE TO AUCTIONEERS.

Applications for licenses, or for renewal of licenses for 1868, must be lodged at the Superintendent’s office on or before the first Tuesday in the month of December next.

ANNUAL ELECTIONS LOCAL BOARDS

ROAD TRUSTEES.

The undermentioned Road Districts not having complied with the terms of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” in their elections of Local Boards of Road Trustees for the current year, Notice is hereby given that meetings of Ratepayers for the election of such Local Boards are appointed to be held, as follows:—

  1. At the house of the Honorable H. J. Miller, at three o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 13th November, 1867.

  2. “Lambton” on Thursday, 14th November, 1867, at the house of Mr. John Mann, at three o’clock p.m.

  3. “Lambourne” on Friday, 15th November, 1867, at the Kakanui Hotel, at three o’clock p.m.

  4. “Incholme” on Saturday, 16th November, 1867, at the house of Mr. James R. Elder, at 3 o’clock p.m.

Note.—The attention of Ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th, and 11th clauses of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” for mode of procedure at electoral meetings.

THE QUARTERLY MEETING,

under the Licensing Ordinance, will be held at noon, on the first Tuesday of December, in the Resident Magistrates Courts within the Province, mentioned in the Proclamations which have appeared in the Provincial Gazette. Application must be lodged with the Clerk of Court fourteen days at least before the meeting.

TAIERI BEACH ROAD DISTRICT.—Notice.

The following persons were elected Members of Local Board for the above-named district:—

GENERAL ROAD BOARD.—PUBLIC NOTICE.

Notice in writing of all business to be brought before the General Board at the monthly meetings must be given to the Clerk to the Board, and lodged in his office two clear days before the day appointed for such meeting to take place. Meetings of the Board to be held at Provincial Government Buildings the first Thursday in every month, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.
