ADVERTISEMENT SHEET.

ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—

11th October, Friday, noon, last day for inspecting Waikari Road District Assessment Roll, at Schoolhouse.

12th October, Saturday, last day for paying Kaikorai District Road Rate at house of Mr. Willian Knox.

15th October, Tuesday, last day for inspecting Assessment Roll for Tomatata District, at the house of Mr. Patrick.

16th October, Wednesday, last day for inspecting Assessment Roll of Wingatui Road District, at the house of Mr. W. Stevenson.

18th October, Friday, noon, a Bay Mare, a grey gelding, will be sold at Oamaru Pound.

22nd October, Tuesday, last day for inspecting Assessment Roll of Maungatua Road District, at the Schoolhouse.

26th October, Saturday, noon, Collector for Portobello Road Rate will attend at School-house for payment of Rate.

TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Monday, 14th October next, for Contracts Nos. 267 and 268.

  1. Waikouaiti to Palmerston: Construction of 72¼ chains of road.

  2. Palmerston to Eweburn: Construction of 84 chains of road.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 267, 268,” as the case may be. The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Ironmongery.
Kerosene, Neatsfoot and Colza Oil.
Plumber Materials.
Paints, Colors, and Glazing.
Powder and Fuse.
Rattans and Medical Comforts for H.M.’s Gaol.
Milk for Hospital and Lunatic Asylum.
Rations and Medical Comforts (exclusive of Bread and Meat) for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and Immigration Depot.
Bread for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and Immigration Depot.
Rations—Meat for Hospital, Lunatic Asylum, and Immigration Depot.

Schedules for tendering may be had from the Government Storekeeper.

APPLICATIONS

APPLICATIONS having been received to purchase the under-mentioned Sections:—Notice is hereby given that they will be sold, under the 27th Clause of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866,” to the present applicants at the prices affixed, unless applications shall have been received before the fourteenth day of November next, from other persons desirous of purchasing the said sections:—

Town of Oamaru, Sections 6 and 19, Block 17; Sections 1, 21 and 22, Block 70, at £12 10s.
Town of Greytown, Sections 33 and 34, Block 4, £5.
Town of Outram, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 6; Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, Block 12, £5.

NOTICE to Applicants for Unsurveyed Land, under Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866.

The Sections in the subjoined Schedule being now surveyed, the applicants are informed that the Waste Land Board will give its decision on their applications at this office on Wednesday, the 16th day of October, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon; on or before which day, objections to the survey, if any, must be made. In the event of the applications being granted, the purchase money may be paid forthwith.
