NOTICE TO SHEEP OWNERS.—Forms of returns required under the Sheep Ordinance, 1867,
may be had on application to any of the District Inspectors, or at the office of the Chief Inspector, Dunedin.

WHIRO ROAD DISTRICT.—NOTICE.—The
Assessment Roll for this District lies for inspection at the residence of Mr. William Milne, Keith Hall,
Owhiro, and may be seen by all persons claiming to be
affected thereby till October 3rd, 1867, on which day
application will be made to the General Road Board for
authority to levy a rate on an assessment of one shilling
in the Pound.

POSTPONEMENT OF SALE.—The Sale of the
Black Horse, branded like Eᴹ on near shoulder,
in the Hampden Pound, is Postponed to the 24th
day of September.

WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—NOTICE.—The
Assessment Roll for said District may
be inspected for fourteen days from date, at the Court
House, Outram.

MILBURN & GLENAVON ROAD DISTRICTS.
—Notice is hereby given that an application has
been made to the General Road Board by the Local
Board of Road Trustees, Milburn, that Section numbered
27, Block II, Akatore Survey District, formerly a portion
of said Milburn Road District, but now portion of
the Glenavon Road District, should be restored to the
said Milburn Road District by reason of the interests
of the said section being more directly in that district.
And notice is hereby further given that consideration
of said application will be taken at the next monthly
meeting of the Board, to be held at Dunedin on Thursday,
the 3rd day of October next, at 11 o’clock.
Objections (if any) to be lodged on or before Wednesday, the 2nd.

MOTUPIPI ROAD DISTRICT.—NOTICE.—The
following persons have been duly elected to serve
as a Local Board of Road Trustees for the above-named
District, viz.:
William Christie, John Coulin, Alexander Adam,
William Mitchell, and William Adam, junr.

NOTICE.—The Track through my property on the
Pine Hill is shut up after this date (16th Sept.,
1867) for all traffic.

THE Precept having been issued by the General
Road Board for the payment of the Highway Rate
for the year 1867-8 to the Portobello Road Board,
Notice is hereby given that the Collector, for the convenience of the Ratepayers, will attend at the Schoolhouse, Portobello, on Saturday, the 23rd October, at
12 o’clock, to receive payment of the above Rate.

HORSE AND DRIVER WANTED for work at
Bell Hill, 6 months from 1st October. Particulars may be had at Gaol.
Tenders to be lodged at the Government Offices by
noon of Friday, 20th inst.

IMMIGRATION TO OTAGO.—Urgent representations having been made to the Provincial Government as to the scarcity of agricultural labourers, notice
is hereby given to those employers who, through their
friends and connections in the mother country, can hire
suitable labourers, that the Government is prepared to
issue passage orders from Glasgow to the Province on
payment of £10 per statute adult.
The same facilities will also be given to others than
agricultural employers who may wish to engage their
own workpeople in the home country; the only stipulation which the Government makes in either case is,
that public aid shall be strictly confined to importation
of bona fide labour suitable to the actual requirements
of the Province.

ROAD DISTRICT OF ENFIELD, ENLARGED,
as proclaimed in last week’s Gazette.
The Enfield Road District shall comprise all that area
bounded on the North by the northern boundary of
Blocks XVI and XV, Oamaru Survey District, and
Block III, Kauroo Survey District; thence on the West
by the western boundary of said Block III; thence by
the northern boundary of Block II, said Kauroo Survey
District, to the western boundary of Block XIV, Oamaru
Survey District; thence by the western boundary of
said Block XIV to the Kakanui River; thence by the
said Kakanui River to the northern boundary of Lambourne Road District; thence on the South by the
northern boundary of said Lambourne Road District;
and on the East by the Waiareka River to the western
boundary of Block XII; thence by said western boundary
of Block XII to the northern boundary of Block XVI,
Oamaru Survey District.

SECTION 10, Block 9, Outram, will be offered for
sale by public auction on the 13th day of October,
1867, in the Land Office, Dunedin, at 12 o’clock noon.
Land applied for under applications Nos. 70D and
75D, now surveyed and numbered, sections 12, 13, 17,
18, and 19, Block 12, Moeraki District, will be offered
for sale by public auction on Monday, the thirteenth day
of October, 1867, in the Land Office, Dunedin, at 12
o’clock noon.
