IMPOUNDED
On the 27th day of August, 1867, by George Edwards, of Popotunoa, one bay Mare, black points, star in forehead, slipped off shoulder, near visible brand; one chestnut Colt, about four years old, white face, branded near shoulder like ∃; one chestnut Colt, about two years old, star in forehead, no visible brand; owners unknown; for trespassing on Popotunoa Hundreds, for which the sum of £1 is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Popotunoa, on Friday, the 27th day of September, 1867; at 12 o’clock noon.

On the 27th day of August, 1867, by Sergeant Bullen, one bay Cob Horse, branded like Z over RC near shoulder, owner unknown, for trespassing on Thames-street, for which no damage is claimed; and in default of being released, the above horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Oamaru, on Friday, the 27th day of September, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.

Altering the Licensing District of Queenstown
Under the “Licensing Ordinance, 1865,” as per Gazette of 21st August, 1867:

A Queenstown Licensing District shall, for the purposes of the said Licensing Ordinance, 1865, comprise the Townships of Kingston, Queenstown, and Frankton, and all that area bounded by a line proceeding from Lorn Peak in a south-westerly direction to the Province of Southland; thence by the Province of Southland to Eyre Peak; thence by the western and northern watersheds of the Wakatipu Lake to Fox Peak; thence by the eastern watershed of the Shotover River to the Kawarau River, and by the Kawarau River to the western boundary of the Clyde Licensing District, and by the said boundary to the southern boundary of Run Benger; thence due west to Lorn Peak, the starting point.

B. Switzers Licensing District shall for the purpose of the said Ordinance comprise all that area bounded towards the north by the Queenstown Licensing District above described; towards the east by Mount Benger Licensing District; towards the south by Clutha Licensing District; and towards the west by the Province of Southland.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following allotments, which are of special value as containing bush or as having been long withheld from sale, will be offered for sale by Public Auction in the sale-rooms of Messrs Wright, Robertson and Co., Manse street, on Monday, the 30th day of September next, at 12 o’clock noon.
