ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—
5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., the Blueskin Road Board will apply to General Road Board for authority to levy a rate of 3d. per acre.
5th September, Thursday, application will be made to the General Road Board for a sub-division of the Portobello Road District.—See Advertisement Sheet of 14th August.
5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., application will be made to the General Road Board to extend the boundaries of the Caversham Road District.—See Advertisement Sheet of 14th August current.
5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m.—Enfield Road District. Application will be made to the General Road Board to extend boundaries.—See Advertisement Sheet of 14th August current.
5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., Windsor Road District proposed to be formed by General Road Board. See new boundaries in Advertisement Sheet of 21st August.
6th September, Friday, noon, a dark bay mare, one roan cob horse, one black mare, one black filly, and one bay riding mare will be sold at Hampden Pound.
6th September, Friday, noon, one bay horse will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.
6th September, Friday, noon, a grey horse will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.
13th September, Friday, noon, a dark bay mare, a roan cob horse, a black mare, a black filly, a bay riding mare, will be sold at Hampden Pound.
13th September, Friday, noon, a dark bay Mare, a roan Cob Horse, a black Mare, a black Horse, and a bay riding Mare will be sold at the Public Pound, Hampden.
16th September, Monday, last day for inspecting Caversham Roll at the house of Mr. William Simpson.
20th September, Friday, noon, a bay Mare will be sold at Taieri Pound.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Wednesday, 11th September next, for Contracts Nos. 262 and 264 :—

Dunedin to Portobello.—Supply of 400 cubic yards of Road Metal between Princes-street, Dunedin, and Anderson’s Bay Hotel.

East Taieri Bridge to Tokomairiro.—Supply of 1660 cubic yards of Road Metal between the 22nd and 26th mile pegs.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed "Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 262, ’264,’ as the case may be;"
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; and at the Police Office, Oamaru.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
HARBOR, DUNEDIN.—Notice is hereby given, that if the Two Punts at present lying sunk between the Rattray street and Jetty street Jetties, and the Two Punts at present lying sunk near the Stuart street Jetty, be not removed within fourteen days from this date, they will "Be removed by order of the Harbor Master, at the risk and expense of the owner, who shall be further liable to a penalty not exceeding £20."

NOTICE TO RUNHOLDERS IN THE PROVINCE OF OTAGO.—Return of Stock and Payment of Assessment.—The Runholders in the Province of Otago are reminded that a Return of Great and Small Cattle depastured on the Lands comprised in their leases, must be lodged at the Land Office in the month of September of each year, in terms of Clause LXX of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1856," and that the Assessment of sevenpence per head for Small Cattle and three shillings and sixpence per head for Great Cattle, must be paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, on the first day of October thereafter, or their Runs will be inevitably forfeited.
NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Supreme Court will be held at the Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the thirtieth day of September next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, for the despatch of all business accruing under the provisions of the Debtors and Creditors Act.
