CORRECTION.—In the Survey Report published in last week’s Gazette, an error occurs in the "Return of Work" opposite Mr. Howden’s name in the column of average size of rural sections, for "272" read 27½.

NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS.—A copy of the Assessment List is to be seen at the School House, Broad Bay. Further, those who are in arrears are requested to pay their Rates on or before the first of October, or legal proceedings will be taken to recover same. Payment to be made either to Mr. Bacon, Broad Bay, or at the residence of James R. Rutherford, clerk, Lilly Bank.

In the matter of the Petition of Thomas Hopper Strauchon, of Shag Valley, in the Province of Otago, Farmer, and in the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862” the “Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865,” and the “Debtors and Creditors Acts Amendment Act, 1866.”

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman has appointed Monday, the thirtieth day of September instant, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for hearing the above Petition.

Dated at Dunedin the third day of September, 1867.

IMPOUNDED on the 30th day of August, 1867, by John McGlashan, 1 red cow, B near rump; 1 calf, progeny of the above cow; 1 yellow and white cow, A H off rump; 1 calf, progeny of the above cow; 1 red and white cow, H J near rump; 1 red and white cow, no visible brand; 1 brown and white cow and calf, brand X G off side, F O near loin, W R near rump; 1 red and white cow, blotch brand near rump, trespassing on Berwood Station, owners unknown, for which thirty shillings damages per head is claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at West Taieri, on Friday, the 27th day of September, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.
