2nd September, Tuesday, 3 p.m. Meeting at Mr. Curl’s
house, Arden Bay, to elect West Harbour Road
Trustees.
2nd September, Tuesday, 3 o’clock, meeting to be held
at the Bush Inn, Taieri Village, to elect Local Road
Board.
3rd September, Tuesday, last day for inspection of
Warepa Ratepayers’ Roll at Mr. Somerville’s Mill.
5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., the Blueskin Road
Board will apply to General Road Board for
authority to levy a rate of 3d. per acre.
5th September, Thursday, application will be made to
the General Road Board for a sub-division of the

5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., application will be
made to the General Road Board to extend the
boundaries of the Caversham Road District.—See

roan cob horse, one black mare, one black filly,
and one bay riding mare will be sold at Hampden
Pound.
6th September, Friday, noon, one bay horse will be sold
at Hawksbury Pound.
6th September, Friday, noon, a grey horse will be sold
at Hawksbury Pound.
13th September, Friday, noon, a dark bay mare, a roan
cob horse, a black mare, a black filly, a bay riding
mare, will be sold at Hampden Pound.

DEPUTATIONS.
The following notice is repeated by order of His Honor the Deputy Superintendent:—
His Honor the Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that he will receive Deputations at 2 o’clock on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. A statement of the nature of the business intended to be brought before His Honor, must be left at the Superintendent’s office at least one day previous to the day on which the Deputations fix for calling.

TENDERS
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Public Works until noon of Monday, 2nd September, for contract No. 266, additions, alterations, and repairs to school-master’s Residence, at Anderson’s Bay.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 266.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Wednesday, 11th September next, for Contract No. 265, Construction of the first portion of the Oamaru Sea Wall.
Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin; and at the Police Office, Oamaru.
Tenders to be endorsed, “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 265.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Dunedin to Portobello.—Supply of 400 cubic yards of Road Metal between Princes-street, Dunedin, and Anderson’s Bay Hotel.

East Taieri Bridge to Tokomairiro.—Supply of 1660 cubic yards of Road Metal between the 22nd and 26th mile pegs.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works, Tender for Contract No. 262, 264,” as the case may be.
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

THE Quarterly Meeting under the Licensing Ordinance will be held at noon on the first Tuesday of September, in the various Resident Magistrates’ Courts within the Province. Application must be lodged with the Clerk of Court 14 days at least before the meeting. The Licensing Law is now the same on the Goldfields as in other parts of the Province.
