ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—

15th August, Thursday, last day for seeing Assessment Roll of Pine Hill Road District, at the house of Mr Hugh M’Fadyen.

21st August, last day for inspecting Blueskin Assessment Roll at the store of Mr. Thomas Quayle.

21st August, last day for inspecting Rate Roll of Portobello Road District at the School House.

24th August, Commissioners to hear appeals against Portobello Road Rate.

23rd August, Friday, noon, a bay horse will be sold at Tokomairiro pound.

30th August, Friday, noon, a brown horse will be sold at South Dunedin Pound.

5th September, Thursday, 11 a.m., the Blueskin Road Board will apply to General Road Board for authority to levy a rate of 3d. per acre.

COIR AND COCOANUT ROPE.—

Tenders will be received at the Government office, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 23rd August current, from parties willing to supply the Gaol, Dunedin, with One Ton of each of the above kinds of rope. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PRINTING TENDERS

Tenders will be received until noon of Thursday, 22nd August current, for the Provincial Government Printing for the year 1868.

TENDERS

Tenders to be lodged with me till noon of Monday, the 19th August, for 70 cubic yards of blue stone metal, for Lower Junction Road; 2½ inches to be laid down on the road from Mr. Brown’s store to the foot of the hill at Campion’s, as the Board directs. The lowest tender not necessarily accepted.

CAVERSHAM ROAD DISTRICT.—

Notice is hereby given that an application has been made to the General Road Board for Board’s assent to the extension of the boundaries of the Caversham Road District to comprise a portion of the Anderson’s Bay Road District, and which said Caversham Road District shall be within the following boundaries, commencing at the north-west angle of Section 42, Block VI, Town District; and bounded on the north by Sections 46, 58, 59, 63, 64, 65, and 99, Block VI, and Section 4, Block VII, Town District, and the Main South Road to the Cemetery Reserve; thence by the Dunedin Town Belt to Otago Harbour; thence on the East by said Otago Harbour to the north-east angle of Section 67, said Block VII; thence by Sections 70 and 81; thence by a continuation of the boundary line between Sections 81 and 82 to the Ocean Beach; on the south by the Ocean Beach to the eastern boundary of the Corstorphine Road District; thence following said eastern boundary to the Main South Road; thence by Section 45, Block VI, Town District, to point of commencement.

And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at its next monthly meeting, to be held at Dunedin on Thursday, the 4th day of September next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, proceed to consider and decide upon such application.

Notice of objections to be lodged by or before Wednesday, 3rd day of September, 1867, at 12 o’clock.

ENFIELD ROAD DISTRICT.—

Notice is hereby given that an application has been made to the General Road Board for Board’s assent to the extension of the boundaries of the Enfield Road District, and to comprise all that area bounded on the North by the northern boundary of Blocks XVI and XV, Oamaru Survey District, and Block III, Kauroo Survey District; thence on the West by the western boundary of said Block III, thence by the northern boundary of Block II, said Kauroo Survey District, to the western boundary of Block XIV, Oamaru Survey District; thence by the western boundary of said Block XIV to the Kakanui River; thence by the said Kakanui River to the northern boundary of Lammerlaw Road District; thence on the South by the northern boundary of said Lammerlaw Road District; and on the East by the Waireka River to the western boundary of Block XII; thence by said western boundary of Block XII to the northern boundary of Block XVI, Oamaru Survey District.

And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at its next monthly meeting to be held at Dunedin on Thursday the 4th day of September next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, proceed to consider and decide upon such application.

Notice of objections to be lodged by or before Wednesday the third day of September, at 12 o’clock.

PORTOBELLO ROAD DISTRICT.—

Notice is hereby given that an application has been made to the General Road Board for a sub-division of the above-named Road District, and the formation of a New Road District to be called...; the proposed new District to comprise all that area bounded on the North-west by Otago Harbour to the north-eastern boundary of Section 30, Block I, Portobello Bay Survey District; on the South by said Section 30, Section 3, Block V, Otago Peninsula Survey District; thence on the West by Sections 3 and 4, said Block V; thence on the South by Sections 41 and 49, Block II, Portobello Survey District, to the Native Reserve; thence on the East by said Native Reserve to the Otago Harbour.

And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at its next monthly meeting, to be held at Dunedin on Thursday the 4th day of September next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, proceed to consider and decide upon such application.
