SCHEDULE.

Akatore Road District shall comprise all that area commencing at the mouth of the Akatore River and bounded on the east and south-east by the ocean to Koaura or Shag Creek; thence by said creek to the northern boundary of Block V, Akatore Survey District; on the north by a portion of said boundary of Block V; thence on the west by the eastern boundary of Block IX, and a continuation of that line to a point of intersection in line drawn from Trig. Station F, Block III, Akatore Survey District, to Trig. Station I, in Block VIII, said Survey District; thence on the north by portion of said Block VIII, and by Block VI, Clarendon, to the Ocean.

PROCLAMATION.

Boundaries of Maungatua (late Waipori) Road District altered and enlarged, and the boundaries of West Taieri Road District altered and diminished.

By His Honor THOMAS FRASER, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent and the Provincial Council of the Province of Otago, intituled the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” it is amongst other things enacted that until otherwise provided, pursuant to the provisions of the said Ordinance, there should be sixty-one Districts, which should be named as specified in the Schedule to the said Ordinance annexed, marked B: And it is also by the said Ordinance provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to alter, vary, diminish, or enlarge the boundaries of any or all of such Districts: and whereas it is expedient to alter and enlarge the boundaries of the Maungatua (late Waipori) Road District, and to alter and diminish the boundaries of the West Taieri Road District in manner and as described in Schedule hereto;—Now therefore I, Thomas Fraser, Esquire, Deputy Superintendent of the said Province, with the advice and consent of the Otago General Road Board, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said Maungatua (late Waipori) and West Taieri Road Districts shall, from the day of the date thereof, be so altered as described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

Maungatua (late Waipori) Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north-west by the boundary of Hundred; on the south and south-west by the Waipori River; on the south-east by Blocks VI, V, IV, and III, Maungatua Survey District, to the western corner of Section 4, Block II, Taieri Survey District; thence on the north-east by Section 11, Block II, and Section 5, Block VI, Taieri Survey District; thence on the north by Sections 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7, Block VI, Taieri Survey District; thence on the north-east by the centre line of the Block road between Blocks V and VI, and Sections 16 and 17, Irregular Block, Taieri Survey District; thence following the southern boundary of Applications 2175 and 2176 to the Main Road into the interior; thence on the east by the said Main Road to the boundary of the Hundred.

West Taieri Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north-west by the boundary of the Hundred, on the east by the Taieri River to the east corner of Block IV, Maungatua Survey District; on the south-west by said Block IV to Section numbered 38, Irregular Block, Taieri Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Block III, Maungatua Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Maungatua (late Waipori) Road District, on Section 12, Block II, Taieri Survey District; thence following the boundary line of said Road District to the boundary of the Hundred.

Remarks.

High winds occurred on 3rd from N.E. and on the 29th from S.W. Fine lunar halo seen on 10th. Fog prevailed on 14th, 15th, and 19th.

HENRY SKEY.


IMPOUNDED on the 5th day of August, 1867, by James Allan of Hampden (Ranger), one dark bay Mare, branded W T near shoulder; one roan cob Horse, has had a sore back, no visible brand; one black Mare, branded Ak 1 near shoulder; one black Filly, about three years old, light hack, no visible brand; one bay riding Mare, branded O off shoulder; owners unknown; for trespassing on the Moeraki Hundreds, for which the sum of two pounds each is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hampden, on the 6th day of September, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 10th day of August, 1867, by Constable John Rooney, one grey Horse, deep scar on forehead, indistinct brand on near shoulder; owner unknown; for trespassing at Mount Ida, for which no damages are claimed; and in default of being released, the above Horse will be sold at the Public Pound at Hawksbury, on the 6th day of September, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.
