REGULATIONS

Passed by the Wardens of the South Tokomairiro Hundred, 15th April, 1867.

A meeting of Licenseholders having been held under Clause 103 of the “Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866,” at which meeting it was decided by a majority of the votes of those present, that great Cattle only should be depastured on the Waste Lands of the Crown within the South Tokomairiro Hundred.

The Wardens of the South Tokomairiro Hundred compute that the above Hundred will depasture (2,500) two thousand five hundred head of great Cattle, and do hereby apportion the right of pasturage as under, viz.: one head of great Cattle for every (6) six acres of purchased land.

ROAD DISTRICT OF GLENAVON FORMED,

And the Boundaries of the Milburn Road District altered and diminished, as per last week’s Gazette.

Glenavon Road District shall comprise all that area commencing at the N.W. angle of Section 19, Block 3, Clarendon, and bounded on the North by Sections 2 of 18, 4, 3, and 1, Block 3, Clarendon, Sections 20 and 16, block 2; East by Sections 11 and 12, block 2; and North by blocks 2 and 4, Clarendon; and East by block 6, Clarendon; South by a line drawn from a Trig. Station F. to Trig. Station I, and Sections 20, 19, 18, 17, and 24, Block 2, Akatore; and Section 73 Toko Mairiro; and on the North-west by Sections 6, 5, 4, Tokomairiro; thence by the continuation of the boundary line between sections 3 and 4, Tokomairiro Survey District to Main South Road, thence again on the North-west by the Main South Road to starting point.

Milburn Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by the northern boundary of Block I., Table Hill Survey District; on the west by the north branch of the Tokomairiro River to Section 2, Block II., Table Hill Survey District; on the south-west by Sections 10 and 13, Block I, Sections 39, 46, 51, 58, 63, 70, 76, and 80, Tokomairiro Survey District, Sections 9 and 4, and a direct line through Sections 1 and 2 to south-west angle of Section 3, Block II., Akatore Survey District; thence on the south and east by southern and eastern boundary of said Block II. to the northern boundary of said Block; thence by said northern boundary to the eastern boundary of the Glenavon Road District; thence on the west and north by the said Glenavon Road District to the Main South Road.

BOUNDARIES OF CRANBOURNE ROAD

District altered and enlarged, and Boundaries of Montroyal Road District altered and diminished, as per last week’s Gazette.

Cranbourne Road District shall comprise all that area within the described boundaries and commencing at the N.E. angle of sec. 43, block 2, Hawksbury Survey District, and bounded on the north by sections 37, 38, 39, block 2; sections 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, 39, 38, 37, 36, and portion of 35, block 3; on the west by section 25, block 3; thence on the south by sections 43 and 44, block 5; west and south-west by sections 44, 45, and 47, block 5, and by bush reserve to Township of Hawksbury; S. and E. by part of Township of Hawksbury, section 1, block 6, Hawksbury, by an old road-line to section 49, block 4, sections 49, 48, 47, 46, and 45, said block 4; by Pleasant River to the Main North Road, and thence by the Main North Road to the N.E. angle of section 43, block 2, the point of commencement.

Montroyal Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north by block 10, Moeraki Survey District and the township of Palmerston; west by block 7 and part of block 3, Hawksbury Survey District; south by sections 40, 41, 42, and 43, block 2, said Survey District; east by Main North Road; southeast by sections 38, 6, 43, and part of 42, block 1, said Survey District; and north by section 4, block 1, said Survey District and by sections 61, 62, and 63, block 4, Moeraki Survey District.

BOUNDARIES OF BROAD BAY ROAD DISTRICT

Altered and extended and Portobello Road District altered and diminished, as per last week’s Gazette.

Broad Bay Road District shall comprise all that area within the following boundaries commencing at the south-west angle of Section 4, Upper Harbour East Survey District, and bounded on the south and south-west by the North and North-Eastern boundary line of the North-East Harbour Road District; on the south by the Northern boundary of Block III, Otago Peninsula to Hooper’s Inlet, thence on the east by the said Hooper’s Inlet and by Sections 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, and part of 29, Portobello Survey District, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block V, to Otago Harbour, thence on the north-west by said Otago Harbour to starting point.

Portobello Road District shall comprise all that area bounded on the north-west and north by Otago Harbour, on the east by the Native Reserve, on the south by the Ocean to Hooper’s Inlet, thence by the Western Coast line of Hooper’s Inlet to the boundary line between Sections 14 and 13, Block V, Portobello Bay Survey District, thence on the south and west by Section 13, said Block V, and by Sections 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, and 23, Block II, Otago Peninsula, and by Sections 35, 36, and 37, Block VII, Portobello Bay Survey District to Otago Harbour.
