Notes.—The barometrical readings are corrected for index error, capillary action, and reduced to 32° Fah., and sea level.
The thermometers are corrected for index errors, ascertained by comparison with a standard from Kew.
The temperature of the dew point, the elastic force of vapour, and degree of humidity, are computed from the simultaneous observations of the wet and dry bulb thermometers.
In reading the preceding table, it should be borne in mind that all self-registering instruments are recorded at the morning observation, and therefore the results noted occurred during the preceding 24 hours.
