4th July, Thursday, 11 a.m., General Road Board will take into consideration the proposal to form a new Road District in the Survey District of Awamoko, to be named the Windsor Road District. For boundaries, see Advertisement Sheet of 19th June.

9th July, Tuesday, noon, sale by auction at Land Office Dunedin, of Land in Waikouaiti, Dunedin, East Taieri, and Moeraki.

CLUTHA COAL FIELD AND PLANT.

Separate Tenders will be received at the Government Office, Dunedin, until noon of Monday, 8th July, 1867, from parties willing to lease the Clutha Coal field and plant for 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years, as parties may determine. The Government will not be bound to accept the highest or any offer.

Section 10, Block IX, 11, Block IX, and 20, Block II, Town of Outram; Sections 5, Block I, and 12, Block IV, Town of Balclutha; Sections 21 and 22, Block XVII, 34, Block LXXIII, 27, Block LXXII, 6, Block LXXI, and 15, Block XVII, Oamaru Town, having been offered for sale by auction and not sold: Notice is hereby given that applications have been made to purchase the same at the upset price, in accordance with the 27th Section of the “Waste Lands Act, 1866.” Any person other than the present applicants, desirous of purchasing such Sections, must apply for the same at the Land Office, Dunedin, on or before Wednesday, the 14th day of August next, otherwise the said lands will be sold to the before mentioned applicants, on the date before stated.

The undermentioned Road Districts not having complied with the terms of the “Otago Road Ordinance, 1865,” in their elections of Local Road Trustees for year ensuing; Notice is hereby given that Meetings for the election of Local Board Trustees are appointed to be held as under:—

Pine Hill, at the house of Mr. M’Fadyen, on Tuesday, 16th July, at 7 o’clock p.m.

North-East Valley, at School-house, on Wednesday, the 17th July, at 5 o’clock p.m.

MERTON ROAD DISTRICT.

Notice is hereby given that, at the meeting of Ratepayers held on the 25th June last, for the purpose of electing a Local Board of Road Trustees for the said district, a poll was demanded, in accordance with Clause XI. of the “Otago Road Ordinance, 1865.” And notice is hereby further given that such polling is appointed to take place on Wednesday, the 17th July, 1867, at Mr. Brunton’s Store, within said district, at 12 o’clock.
