CLUTHA COAL FIELD AND PLANT.—Separate Tenders will be received at the Government Office, Dunedin, until noon of Monday, 8th July, 1867, from parties willing to lease the Clutha Coal field and plant for 1 year, 3 years, or 5 years, as parties may determine. The Government will not be bound to accept the highest or any offer.

IMPOUNDED on the 23rd day of May, 1867, by Peter Whitelaw, One Brindle Steer, no brand; Red and White Spotted Bullock, staggy horns, no brand; White Cow, down horns, indistinct brand off rump; White Bull Calf, progeny of the above; Strawberry Heifer, red ears, no brand; Red and White Spotted Cow, white face, no brand; Red and White Spotted Calf, progeny of above; Red and White Spotted Bull, no brand; Black and White Bull, no brand; Black and White Heifer, no brand; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri, on Friday, the 28th day of June, 1867, at 12 o’clock noon.

In the abstract in Advertisement Sheet of 5th June, the above cattle were by mistake advertised to be sold at Oamaru Pound.

PUBLIC NOTICE.—WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT.—The Road from the West Taieri Church to Bush, will be closed for dray traffic for four days, viz., 1st to 6th July, 1867, for the repairs of the Bridge on Lees Creek.

LOCAL BOARDS ROAD TRUSTEES.—Notice—The attention of the various Clerks or Treasurers is called to the XXV Clause of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865,” which enacts that “An abstract of accounts shall be published in the Gazette or in a newspaper circulating within the district within one month after the accounts are audited and signed, and any Clerk or Treasurer neglecting to make up such accounts, or failing to publish the abstract thereof as aforesaid, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds.”
