IT IS HONOR the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has been pleased to appoint Messrs James Hassell and James Thomas Richards to be managers of the Oamaru Cemetery in addition to those previously appointed.

NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that James Seaton, of Portobello District, has applied to his Excellency the Governor for permission to form, plant, and occupy an artificial Oyster Bed on the shore or sand-bank in the Harbour of Otago adjacent to Sections 1 and 2, Block VII., Portobello Bay District, in terms of "The Oyster Fisheries Act, 1866."

All persons having objections to the granting of such permission must lodge the same with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, at Dunedin, on or before the 5th day of July next.

COURT OF REVISION OF CITIZENS’ LISTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Court for the Revision of the Citizens’ Lists, year 1867-8, will sit at the Corporation Offices, Maclaggan-street, on Thursday, 11th July, 1867, at noon. All claims for insertion on such lists must be lodged on or before the 3rd day of July, and all objections against names already on the Roll, must be lodged at my office on or before the 5th day of July proximo.

Blank forms may be obtained at the City Council Chambers.

Otago and Southland District.

In the matter of the Petition of Anthony St. George White, of Dunedin, Otago, a debtor, and of "The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862," and Amendment Acts 1865 and 1866.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above petition has been presented to, and accepted by His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman, who has appointed the 5th day of August next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for the hearing of the said petition.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

The Partnership heretofore existing between James Fergusson, Melbourne, and John Mitchell, Dunedin, has been dissolved by mutual consent, from the 31st March last. The business here will be carried on as formerly by John Mitchell on his own account, under the style of Fergusson and Mitchell, Stationers, Account Book Manufacturers, Engravers, Lithographers, and Printers, Dunedin. J. M. will pay all debts due and receive same.


SUBSCRIPTIONS will be at the rate of £1 per annum or 6s. per quarter, payable in advance to the Publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions may commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December, 1867.

PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged at the rate of 6d. per line. Late Advertisements and tabular matter, 1s. per line, first insertion.

THE GAZETTE (with Supplement) is published every Wednesday morning, and Notices for insertion must be received at the Publisher’s Office not later than 2 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding. Advertisements received after that hour will be charged 1s. per line. Any irregularity in the receipt of those Gazettes which are given gratis by the Government should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
