4th June, Tuesday, noon, Quarterly Licensing Meetings in all Resident Magistrates’ Courts: fourteen days’ notice of applications to be made to the Clerks of Courts.

7th June, Friday, noon, a light brown Steer will be sold at Oamaru Pound.

10th June, Monday, last day for paying Tomahawka Road Rate, at the house of Collector.

ELECTION OF LOCAL BOARDS.—Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865," the First Meetings of Persons liable to be rated are hereby appointed to be held at the times and places within the districts after-mentioned, for purpose of electing qualified persons to serve as Members of Local Boards for year ensuing.

NOTE.—The attention of Ratepayers is specially directed to the 9th, 10th, and 11th Clauses of the "Otago Roads Ordinance, 1865," for mode of procedure at Electoral Meetings, and other information.

SPECIAL GAZETTE.—There was a Special ‘Gazette,’ No. 483, published on Wednesday, 22nd May current, after the regular ‘Gazette’ was issued.

BROAD BAY ROAD BOARD.—Tenders wanted for cutting and forming 150 chains more or less of Beach Road at per chain. William Bacon, Broad Bay Place, will give all details, and receive Tenders on or before the 1st June next.

The Board do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any of the Tenders.

EDUCATION RESERVES.—Printed Copies of the Education Board’s Amended Regulations and Conditions for the Leasing of the Education Reserves may now be had on application.

A list of Reserves to be offered for Lease will shortly be published; meanwhile, applications for Reserves will be received at this office.

NOTICE is Hereby Given that a Sitting of the Supreme Court will be holden at the Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 24th day of June next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of transacting all business arising out of the Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act.

NOTICE is Hereby Given that a sitting of the Supreme Court will be holden at the Court House, Dunstan, on Saturday, the first day of June next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business: Notice is hereby further given that the Court will be adjourned until Monday, the third day of June next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, on which last mentioned date all persons under Recognizance to appear as Prosecutors, Defendants, or Witnesses, are hereby required to give their attendance.

NOTICE.—WAKARI ROAD RATE.—Notice is hereby given to the Ratepayers in Wakari Road District, that legal proceedings will be adopted for the recovery of all rates due, unless paid on or before the 30th inst.
