BOUNDARIES OF FLAG STAFF as proclaimed

in last week’s Gazette:
The "Flag Staff" Road District shall commence at Trig. Station "S," on the northern boundary line of Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and shall comprise that area bounded on the N. by portion of the northern boundary of said Block, and by northern boundary of Block IV, said Survey District; on the W. by western boundary of said Block IV, on the S. by the southern boundary of said Block to the S.E. corner of Section 8, said Block thence; by Sections 41, 40, 39, 37, 35, 33, 31, 30, 29, 27, 25 and 23, Waikari Survey District; on the E. and S.E. by Sections 59, 5 of 40, 2 of 40, 58, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, and by Bush Reserve, to N. W. angle of Section 8; thence by Section 1, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri, to starting point.


NOTICE.

WHEREAS it is intended to stop up those Roads and portions of Roads referred to in the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," situate in the Inch Clutha Road District, and which are hereinafter described, and are delineated on the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," a copy of which plan has been deposited in the Public School at Inch Clutha, in the said District;

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the power vested in me in that behalf by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such Roads or portions of Roads, or any of them, are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such Roads, or portions of Roads, and to leave such statement addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days of the date hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

Description of the Roads and portion of Roads in the Inch Clutha Road District which the Superintendent is empowered to stop up.

No. 21.

  1. One hundred and twenty-six chains in length, sixty links wide from District Road between sections four and ten, block ten, Inch Clutha. Boundaries: North and East, Matau River; South, sections ten, eleven, and twelve, block ten, Inch Clutha.

  2. Twenty-four chains in length, sixty links wide from District Road between blocks eleven and thirteen, to the Kona River. Boundaries: North, sections one and three, block thirteen; South, section ten, block eleven, Inch Clutha.

  3. Two hundred and forty-one chains in length, sixty links wide from District Road between blocks three and four, Inch Clutha District, to line between sections four and five, block four, Inch Clutha District. Boundaries: north, east, and west, Matau River; south, sections one, two, three, four, five, and six, block four, Inch Clutha.

  4. One hundred and forty-one chains in length, sixty links wide from District Road on section one, block six, Inch Clutha, to District Road between blocks four and six, Inch Clutha. Boundaries: north, east, and west, river Matau; south, sections seven and eight, block four, Inch Clutha, and part of section one, block six, Inch Clutha.

WEST TAIERI ROAD DISTRICT

WHEREAS it is intended to stop up those Roads and Portions of Roads situate and being in the West Taieri Road District, and which are hereinafter described, and are delineated in the map or plan mentioned and referred to in the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865 and 1866," a copy of which map or plan is deposited at the Public School House in the said District;

Now, therefore, I, James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865 and 1866," do hereby give notice that all persons objecting to the stopping up of such roads, or portions of roads, or any of them, are required to set forth a statement in writing of any well-grounded objections they may have to the stopping up of such roads, or portions of roads, and to leave such statement, addressed to me, at my office in Dunedin, within sixty days from the date hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.

No. 23.—Road Diversion Ordinance, 1865.

  1. Forty-five chains in length, 1 chain wide, from N.E. angle of Sec. 59, Block 3, Maungatua District, to District Road on Sec. 39, Block 3, Maungatua District. Boundaries: E., Secs. 40, 41, 42, and part of 39, Block 3, Maungatua; W. and S. by Secs. 59, 58, part of 57, Block 3, Maungatua.

  2. Fifty chains in length, 60 links wide from District Road on Sec. 13 River Sec. Taieri to Road on Sec. 13 River Sec. Taieri. Boundaries: W. part of River Sec. 13; E. Taieri River.

  3. Thirty-two chains in length, 60 links wide from Road on River Sec. 14, Taieri, to Road on River Sec. 15. Boundaries: W. River Sec. 14 and part of 15; E. Taieri River.

  4. Ninety chains in length, sixty links wide, from District Road, between River sections twelve and fourteen, to District Road on River section nineteen. Boundaries: east, River sections fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, and part of nineteen; west, part of block three, Maungatua District.

  5. Fifty-three chains in length, sixty links wide, from District Road between River section nineteen, block three, Maungatua, to road on river bank at section nineteen. Boundaries: both sides, river section nineteen.

  6. Thirty-six chains in length, sixty links wide, from District Road between River section twenty-nine, Taieri, and section one, block one, Taieri Survey District, to new District Road on section twenty-nine. Boundaries: north, part of river section twenty-nine; south, part of river section twenty-eight.

  7. Seventy-four chains in length, sixty links wide, from District Road on River section twenty-six to District Road on river section thirty. Boundaries: west, River sections twenty-seven, twenty-eight, twenty-nine, and parts of river sections twenty-six and thirty; east, Taieri River.

No. 13.—Road Diversion Ordinance, 1866.

  1. Nineteen chains in length, sixty links wide, from District Road between sections twenty-seven and thirty, block three, Maungatua Survey District, to section line between sections eleven and twenty-seven, said block and district. Boundaries: west, section twenty-nine and part of section thirty, block three, Maungatua Survey District; east, section twenty-seven, said block and district.
