ORDER.—JETTY DUES &c (from last week’s Gazette):—
His Honor, James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, directs it to be notified that, under and by virtue of the powers vested in him in that behalf by the “Jetties and Wharves Ordinance, 1858,” has, with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, made, ordained, and appointed the Rules and Regulations set out in the schedule hereto for the management of the
Queenstown Jetty, Late Wakatipu, in the Province of Otago.

The Landing Stops shall be open to the Public, and the charge of one shilling shall be made for each Waterman’s Boat; and five shillings for each Passenger Steamer plying to and from the said Jetty.

All other Jetty Dues shall be at the following rates, on all goods shipped or landed:—

| Wool | 6d. per bale |
| Horses | 1s. |
| Cattle | 9d. |
| Sheep | 1d. |
| Pigs | 2d. per head |
Immigrants’ and Passengers’ Luggage free; all other goods at the rate of 1s. per ton. Vessels under 40 tons register shall be allowed four, and vessels above that tonnage shall be allowed six working days to load and unload at the Jetty, as the case may be; and any vessel remaining longer at the said Jetty shall be charged one penny per registered ton per day.
The dues shall be paid by the master or owner of the vessel or boat on board which the goods are shipped before loading, if required, or from which the goods are landed, before unloading, if required.
The Jetty Keeper is authorised to prevent goods being brought on to, or removed from, the Jetty, until the dues payable on such goods have been paid.

A meeting will be held in the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, on Thursday, 25th April current, at 2 o’clock P.M., to consider the application of Robert Smith of Clutha Ferry, for an Auctioneer’s License. His certificate is signed by W. Christie, Jackson Smith, Jas. Scott, John H. Jenkinson, Alex. Stewart, Jas. Rattray, all of Clutha Ferry.
