ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS.
26th March, and following days, Sale of 100,000 acres of Land by Auction, at Provincial Buildings, upset price 10s. per acre. A tenth of purchase money to be paid down, the remainder within a month, or deposit forfeited.
30th March, Saturday, noon, tenders due for supply of Forage for Police.
1st April, Monday, last day for paying Inch Clutha Road Rate to Mr. William Mosley, at his house.
4th April, Thursday, noon, tender due for Main Road through Oamaru.
4th April, Thursday, noon, tenders due for East Taieri Bridge to Tokomairiro.
4th April, Thursday, noon, proposal to form a New Road District, to be comprised of portions Wakari and Silver Road District, to come before the General Road Board. See Advertisement Sheet of 20th March.
8th April, Monday, last day for giving notice of intention to surrender License of Runs.
10th April, Wednesday, noon, part of Wooden Offices, &c., now or lately occupied by Provincial Government, to be sold by auction.
12th April, Friday, noon, a Roan Bull to be sold at Oamaru Pound.
16th April, Tuesday, Sections in Block 13, Oamaru, and Block 1, Papakui District, will be sold by public auction in Land Office, Dunedin.
25th April, Thursday, last day for paying Harlington District Road Rate, to Joseph Morris, collector.
£500 will be paid for conviction of the person who set fire to Stacks in Taieri District, on 9th or 10th May last.

NOTICE TO AGRICULTURISTS.
The Provincial Government of Otago being desirous of promoting the growth of Irish, Dutch and Russian Flax, as affording a staple article of export, will be glad to receive communications from such parties throughout the various agricultural districts as may be inclined to undertake the cultivation of such flax.
The object of the Government is to afford in each district a practical illustration of the best mode of cultivating the plant, with which view it will provide the seed, furnish the necessary directions as to cropping, and aid to a moderate extent in any expenditure which the experiment may involve.

THE Wooden Buildings, or part thereof, including a Brick and a Stone Safe, presently occupied as Provincial Government Buildings, will be sold by public auction, at the said Offices, at Noon on Wednesday, 10th April, 1867. Further particulars at sale.

SMITHS, &c.—Separate Tenders to be lodged at the Government Offices by noon of Friday, 29th March, 1867, for supply of two wrought-iron Fire guards, and for 99 superficial feet Wire-work. Further particulars may be obtained at the Lunatic Asylum.
The Government does not bind itself to accept any tender.
MAIN ROAD THROUGH OAMARU.—TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works until Noon of Thursday, the 4th April, for Contract No. 253, Forming and Metalling portions of Severn and Wansbeck Streets.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin, and at the Police Camp, Oamaru.
Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 253.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
EAST TAIERI BRIDGE TO TOKOMAIRIRO.—TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works until Noon of Monday, the 1st April, for Contract No. 254, Cutting New Channel for Shannon’s Creek, and Embanking portions of Road.
Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.
Tenders to be indorsed “Roads and Works Tender for Contract No. 254.”
The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
CROWN LANDS.—NOTICE.—A sale by public auction of sections 23, 24, 25, 29, and 31, Block 13, Oamaru—sections 54, 55, 64, 65, 66, 67, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, block 1, Papakaio district, will take place in the Land Office on the 16th day of April, at 12 o’clock noon.
TENDERS are invited for about Thirty Chains of Road in Highcliff District, at per chain. Plans and specifications to be seen at the house of Peter Lothian, Randolph Cliff, Highcliff. Tenders to be lodged on or before the seventh of April next.
