OTAGO GOVERNMENT RURAL LAND SALES
TUESDAY, 26TH MARCH, 1867.
About 100,000 Acres for Sale, at the Upset Price of 10s. per Acre.
NOTICE is hereby given, that the Waste Land Board of Otago have resolved, with the sanction of the Superintendent and Provincial Council, to sell by auction, under the powers conferred by clause 35 of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1866," the unsold surveyed lands within the Hundreds of Dunedin, East and West Taieri, North and South Tokomairiro, and West and East Clutha, and Waihola, at the upset price of 10s. per acre.
There are about 100 allotments in the Dunedin Hundred, containing from 7 to 90 acres.
In the East Taieri, about 140 allotments, containing from 10 to 235 acres.
In the West Taieri, about 100 allotments, containing from 26 to 290 acres.
In the North Tokomairiro, about 125 allotments, containing from 20 to 285 acres.
In the South Tokomairiro, about 160 allotments, containing from 20 to 290 acres.
In the West Clutha, about 39 allotments, containing from 26 to 200 acres.
In the East Clutha, about 144 allotments, containing from 19 to 190 acres.
In the Waihola, about 220 allotments, containing from 15 to 400 acres.
The sale of the above lands will commence on Tuesday, the 26th day of March, 1867, at 12 o'clock, within the Provincial Council Hall, Government Buildings, Dunedin, and will begin with the allotments in the Dunedin Hundred, followed by those in the other Hundreds, in the order named above. The sale will be continued from day to day. The Gazette, stating the sections, &c., of land for sale, can be obtained at the Waste Land Office, Dunedin, the Survey Offices at Lawrence, Clyde, and Queenstown, and at all the Post-offices and School-houses throughout the Province, free of charge.

WAKARI AND SILVER STREAM ROAD DISTRICTS
Notice is hereby given that a Memorial from Settlers in the Wakari and Silver Stream Road Districts was laid before the General Road Board at the last monthly meeting, memorialising the Board to sanction the formation of a New Road District, to be comprised of portions of the above-named Districts, and within the following boundaries:--Commencing at Trig. Station S on the northern boundary line of Block V., Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and bounded on the north by portion of the northern boundary line of said block, and by the northern boundary of Block IV., said Survey District; on the west by the western boundary line of said Block IV.; on the south by the southern boundary of said Block to the south-east corner of Section 8, said Block; thence by Sections 41, 40, 39, 37, 35, 33, 31, 30, 29, 27, 25, and 23, Wakari Survey District; on the east and south-east by Sections 59, 5 of 40, 1 of 40, 2 of 40, 58, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, and by the Bush Reserve, to the north-west angle of Section 8; thence by Section 1, Block V., Dunedin and East Taieri, to starting point.
And notice is hereby further given that the General Road Board will, at a meeting to be held at Dunedin on Thursday, April 4th, now next, at 12 o'clock noon, proceed to consider and decide upon such application. Notice of objections to be lodged by or before Wednesday, the 3rd April.

LEASEHOLD PASTORAL LAND, PROVINCE OF OTAGO
By Public Auction.
RIVER, MACLEAN AND CO. have received instructions from the Provincial Government of Otago, to submit to public competition, at their Wool Stores, High street, Dunedin, on Friday, 29th March, 1867, at 2 o'clock.
The Good-will of Pastoral Leases over about 250,000 ACRES of really first-class sheep and cattle country. This splendid tract of country is situated on the Wakatipu, which is admitted to be one of the finest pastoral districts in the Province, and will be sold in lots ranging from 8,000 to 26,000 acres each.
The purchaser of each lot will receive from the Government a lease for a term of years, the conditions of which, with further particulars, will be given in a future advertisement.

on the 4th day of March, 1867, by Joseph Hunt, one Roan Bull, no brand, ear marks on both ears, owner unknown, for trespassing on his lands and damaging cattle, damage claimed, and in default of being released, will be sold at Oamaru Pound on Friday the 12th April, at 12 o'clock noon.
