THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF DUNEDIN.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following Rates or parts of Rates on the undermentioned unoccupied houses, tenements, or hereditaments, in respect of which the rates for the year 1866 became due and payable on the fourteenth day of January, 1866, have remained unpaid for one year after the same became due and payable: And whereas for the satisfaction of such rate no distress and sale can be made, this notice therefore is given under and by virtue of provisions of an Act of the General Assembly intituled "The Otago Municipal Corporations Empowering Act, 1865,"—to the owner or reputed owners or otherwise whom it may concern of the undermentioned properties, to pay such arrears of rates, together with interest on the respective amounts thereof, at ten pounds per centum, from the day at which such rate became payable, within twenty-eight days from the date hereof, at the Office of the Town Clerk, in Maclaggan street, Dunedin. And that failing such payment, such further steps will be taken to recover the said rates as are authorised by the said Act.
