ABSTRACT FROM ADVERTISEMENT SHEETS—

7th February, Thursday, General Road Board will consider application by North-east Harbor Road District to borrow money.

7th February, Thursday, noon, proposal to divide Northeast Valley Road District to be made at General Road Board Meeting this day—See Advertisement Sheet of 16th January.

7th February, Thursday, noon, proposal will be made at General Road Board Meeting to alter the boundaries of North-east Harbor and Anderson’s Bay Road Districts.—See Advertisement Sheet of 16th January.

7th February, Thursday, noon, leave will be asked from General Road Board by North-east Harbor Road Board to borrow £700.

7th February, Thursday, noon, Blueskin Bay Road District will apply to General Road Board to levy 1s. 3d. per acre.

7th February, noon, General Road Board will consider proposed Alteration of Boundaries of Portobello and Broad Bay Road District.—See Advertisement Sheet of 16th January.

10th February, last day for paying Walton Road Rate at the house of F. L. Jeffcoat.

11th February, Tender due for Construction of Road near Arrow Cliff.

11th February, Monday, at 10 o’clock, Supreme Court meets at Dunedin for hearing Appeal from Wardens’ Court.

11th February, Monday, last day for inspecting Blueskin Bay Road District Assessment Roll, at the Store of Mr. Yuayle.

16th February, Saturday, last day for paying High Cliff Road Rate to James Beattie.

21st February, Friday, noon, two Red Cows and a Polled Cow will be sold at Waipori Pound.

22nd February, Friday, noon, a Yellow Steer will be sold at East Taieri Pound.

22nd February, Friday, noon, a Grey Colt and a White Bull will be sold at Hawksbury Pound.

25th February, Monday, last day of paying Mornington Road Rate at the house of William Knox, collector.

25th February, half-past 7 p.m., Meeting in Schoolhouse, N. E. Valley, to Elect School Committee.

30th January, Wednesday, noon, Nomination of Candidate for Corporation of Port Chalmers.

£500 will be paid for conviction of the person who set fire to Stacks in Taieri District, on 9th or 10th May last.

TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Monday, the 18th February, for:

1st. Dunedin to East Taieri Bridge—Contract No. 235, Supply of 1000 cubic yards of Road Metal, between 17th and 22nd mile post.

2nd. Waikouaiti to Palmerston—Contract No. 236, Supply of 780 cubic yards of Sand or Gravel, for blinding road at Pleasant River.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works—Tender for Contract No. 235” or “236,” as the case may be.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Waihemo to M’Rae’s Flat—Contract No. 223, Formation of about 53½ chains of Road. Moss & Thomas. £103 16s.

Tokomairiro to Tuapeka—Contract No. 227, Supply of 2500 cubic yards of Gravel. David Sinnott. £364 11s. 8d.

MEETING

A MEETING will be held at two o’clock on Thursday, 21st February, 1867, in the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, to consider the application of William Smitham, of Clyde, for an Auctioneer’s License. His certificate is signed by Joseph Downing, Wm. Grindlay, A. Hazlett, and Joseph Hustle.

NEW TOLLS

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, until noon of Wednesday, the 13th February, for Contract No. 233, Erection of Toll-houses and Gates—One at Stony Creek (Tokomairiro to Clutha), and one at Pleasant River (Waikouaiti to Palmerston).

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the Office of the Engineer of Roads and Works, Dunedin.

Tenders to be endorsed “Roads and Works—Tender for Contract No. 233.”

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS are wanted for the Erection of a Brick School-House at Anderson’s Bay. Plans, etc., to be seen at the office of Mr. D. Ross, Architect, Rattray Street, until Saturday, the 9th February.
