The following statement is to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Otago Quartz Mining Company."
  2. The place of operation is at Skipper’s.
  3. The nominal Capital of the Company is fifteen thousand pounds, in 3000 shares of five pounds each.
  4. The amount already paid up is twelve thousand pounds.
  5. The name of the Manager is Andrew Southberg.
  6. The office of the Company is at Skipper’s.
  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of Shares held by each at this date are as follows:

Peter Antony, Skippers, 900 shares.
Alexander Murdoch, do., 600
Robert Duncan, do., 600
Andrew Southberg, do., 600
Alexander Olson, do., 300

Dated this thirtieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned Bernhard Luks, Herman Luks, and William Luks, carrying on business at Waihemo and Macraes Flat, under the style of Luks Brothers, was this day dissolved by mutual consent as far as Herman Luks is concerned, who has retired from the firm.

All debts due to or by the late firm will be received or paid by Bernhard Luks, William Luks, who will continue the business as heretofore.

PURSUANT to a Decree of this Honorable Court, made herein on the fourteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, and whereby amongst other things it was referred to me to take an account of the partnership debts and liabilities in respect of the Dog Island Lighthouse Contract, I order that the creditors of the said Dog Island Lighthouse Contract partnership do come in and prove their respective debts before me, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on or before the 15th day of February, 1867, otherwise they will be peremptorily excluded from the benefit of the Decree herein.

SUBSCRIPTIONS will be at the rate of £1 per annum, or 3s. per quarter, payable in advance to the Publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions may commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December, 1867.

PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged at the rate of 6d. per line. Late Advertisements and table matter, 1s. per line, first insertion.

THE GAZETTE (with Supplement) is published every Wednesday morning, and Notices for insertion must be received at the Publisher's Office not later than 2 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding. Advertisements received after that hour will be charged 1s. per line. Any irregularity in the receipt of those Gazettes which are given gratis by the Government should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
