OF HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT ON PROROGUING THE TWENTY-SECOND SESSION OF THE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL OF THE PROVINCE OF OTAGO, THURSDAY, TWENTIETH DECEMBER, 1866.
Mr. Speaker and Gentlemen of the Provincial Council:—
I have to thank you for the liberal supplies you have voted for the public service, and for the care you have bestowed during the Session upon the various subjects submitted for your consideration.
In addition to the Vagrant Ordinance Repeal Ordinance, 1866,
Licensing Ordinance, 1865, Amendment Ordinance, 1866,
Port Chalmers Town Board Ordinance Repeal Ordinance, 1866, and
The Oamaru Town Board Ordinance, 1862, Repeal Ordinance, 1866,
To which I have already assented, I now, on behalf of the Governor, assent to the following Bills:—
Southern Trunk Railway Guaranteed Interest Ordinance, 1865, Extension and Amendment Ordinance, 1866,
Cemetery Ordinances Amendment Ordinance, 1866,
Dunedin Water Works Company Guaranteed Interest Ordinance, 1864 Amendment Ordinance, 1866,
Appropriation Ordinance (No. 1), 1866,
Appropriation Ordinance (No. 2), 1866,
Turnpikes Ordinance, 1866.
The following Bills I now reserve for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon:—
Dunedin Reserves Management Bill, 1866,
Roads Diversion Bill, 1866,
Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance Amendment Bill, 1866.
The Colonial Secretary has informed me that if, at the close of the Session, I wish effect to be given to your resolutions recommending an immediate dissolution of the Council, His Excellency will be advised to carry out the recommendation; I shall therefore forthwith communicate to the Colonial Secretary my concurrence with the Resolution, that the elections may take place without delay.
I have now the pleasure to relieve you from your Legislative duties, and declare this Council prorogued.

GAZETTE.—There will be a Special Gazette published on the last day of the year, containing the details of the Contracts accepted for supplies of General Stores for 1867.
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand,
Otago and Southland District.
NOTICE is hereby given, that a sitting of the above Court, in its Insolvency Jurisdiction, will be holden at the Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 4th day of February next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of transacting all business arising under the Debtors and Creditors Acts.

NOTICE.
The Partnership hitherto existing between the undersigned, trading as Runholders and Sheep Farmers, under the style of Gardner, Graham, and Co., is this day Dissolved by mutual consent, as far as regards Mr. James Gardner, who retires from the firm.
The business will be carried on as usual under the style of Charles C. Graham and Co.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, carrying on business at Clyde as Coal Dealers, has this day been Dissolved by mutual consent, and that the business will in future be carried on by James Holt. All debts will be received by Francis Dakin, who is empowered to give receipts for same.
