HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has been pleased to appoint the following legally qualified Medical Practitioners, viz.,

Edward Hulme, Esquire, M.D., Provincial Surgeon

Edward William Alexander, Esquire, M.R.C.S.,

Robert Burns, Esquire, M.R.C.S.,

John Drysdale, Esquire, M.D.,

David O’Donnoghue, Esquire, M.R.C.S.,

to be members of the Board of Health of the Port of Otago.

TUAPEKA GOLD FIELD.

Refusal of two Applications for Gold Mining Leases.

NOTICE is hereby given, that His Honor the Superintendent of Otago has determined not to recommend His Excellency the Governor to grant the two applications following, viz:—

  1. The application of John M’Laren, George Summers, Adam M’Kay, for a Gold Mining Lease of three acres, situate in Munroe’s Gully, Tuapeka Gold Field, in the Province of Otago.

  2. The application of Richard Williams, John Drapper, Josiah Earle, and William Hall, for a Gold Mining Lease of three acres, situate at Maori Hill, Munroe’s Gully, in the said Province.

Subscriptions will be at the rate of £1 per annum, or 5s. per quarter, payable in advance to the Publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions can commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December, 1866.

Private Advertisements will be charged at the rate of 6d. per line. Late Advertisements and tabular matter, 1s. per line first insertion.
