It is hereby notified that a Writ issued for the Election of a person to serve as Member of the Provincial Council for the Lindis District, in place of Frederick Walker, Esquire, deceased, has been duly returned, with a certificate to the effect that

NOTICE is hereby given that His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman has appointed Monday, the fifth day of November next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for hearing the matters of the above Petition.
