I, the undersigned Henry John Cope, hereby make application to register, the "Otago Pioneer Sluicing Company Registered,” under the provisions of the "Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true in every particular, namely:-

  1. The name and style of the Company is the "Otago Pioneer Sluicing Company.”

  2. The place of operations is at Dunstan Gorge.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is two thousand five hundred pounds (£2500), in two hundred and fifty (250) Shares of ten pounds (£10) each.

  4. The amount already paid up is one thousand seven hundred and fifty (£1750) pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Henry John Cope.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Clyde.

  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of Shares held by each at this date, are as follows :--

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Ovens Water Race Company, Registered.”

  2. The place of intended operations is at Butler’s Point, on the Manuherikia River, in the Province of Otago aforesaid, or at such other place or places within the Province of Otago aforesaid, as the said Company may obtain permission to mine.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is two thousand five hundred pounds, in two hundred and fifty shares of ten pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is two thousand five hundred pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Henry John Cope.

  6. The office of the Company is at Broadway, Alexandra, in the Province of Otago aforesaid.

  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of Shares held by each at this date, are as follows :--
