Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of
the powers vested in me by the said "Otago Municipal
Corporations Ordinance, 1865," do nominate and
appoint the said John Smyth Fleming to be the person
to prepare the Citizens' Roll for the said Incorporated
Town of Port Chalmers.
As witness my hand this eighteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

PROCLAMATION,
Closing Roads in the Owhiro District.
By His Honor THOMAS DICK, Esquire, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago.
I, THOMAS DICK, Superintendent of the Province
of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the
powers vested in me in this behalf by the "Roads
Diversion Ordinance, 1865," proclaim and declare
that all those Roads and all those portions of Roads,
situate and being in the Owhiro District, in the
Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the
said "Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865," and which
are particularly described in the Schedule hereto,
shall, from and after the day and date hereof, cease to
be Public Roads or Thoroughfares, and shall no longer
form part of the Roads in the Owhiro Road District.
SCHEDULE REFERRED TO.
Description of Roads and Portions of Roads in the
Owhiro District declared closed.
No 22.—OWHIRO ROAD DISTRICT.
1.—112 chains in length, 60 links wide from Trig.
Station O, on section 1, irregular block, Taieri, to
road between sections 17, block XX, Taieri Survey
District, and river section 33; boundaries, north and
west, river sections 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33;
south and east, sections 10, 9, 18, and 17, block XX,
Taieri.
2.—35 chains in length, 60 links wide, from road
on river section 26, to road on river section 27; bound
aries, east, part of sections 26 and 27, West Taieri
River.
3.—31 chains in length, 60 links wide, from road
on river section 27, to road on river section 29;
boundaries, towards the east, river section 28, and
parts of river sections 27 and 29, West Taieri
River.
Dated this twenty-fifth day of April, one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

PROCLAMATION
Rescinding Proclamation of 15th April, 1864, so far
as the said Proclamation reserved and withdrew
for the purposes of Sale certain Lands therein de
scribed, situate in the West Taieri Gold Field.
By His Honor, THOMAS DICK, Esquire, Superintendent
of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS the Honorable John Hyde Harris,
Esquire, then Superintendent of the Province
of Otago, in exercise of the powers delegated to and
vested in him in that behalf, did, by Proclamation
dated the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-four, and published in the Government
Gazette of the said Province, Vol. VII., No. 300,
proclaim and declare that he did reserve and withdraw
for the purposes of sale, the several areas or portions of
the Waste Lands of the Crown, situate within and
forming part of the West Taieri Gold Field, containing
respectively by admeasurement fifty-seven acres, more
or less, and five acres, more or less, which said Lands
are in the said Proclamation more particularly described:
And whereas it is expedient to rescind the said Procla
mation, so far as the lands therein described are
affected thereby;—Now therefore I, Thomas Dick,
Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby, in
exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me
in this behalf, rescind the said Proclamation of the
fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-four, so far as the Lands hereinbefore mentioned,
and in the said Proclamation more particularly de
scribed, are affected thereby: And I do proclaim and
declare that the Lands in the said Proclamation de
scribed shall, from and after the day of the date hereof,
be included within and form part of the said West
Taieri Gold Field.
Given under my hand, and issued under the
(L.S.) Public Seal of the Province of Otago, this
twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-six.

AMARU GOVERNMENT STORE.—The fol
lowing charges are authorised to be made for the
use of the Government Store at Oamaru:—
Receiving goods, at the rate of 1s. per ton.
Delivering goods at the rate of 1s. per ton.
All goods will be stored free for the first 48 hours,
after which the following charges will be made:—
Wool twopence per bale per day.
Other goods at the rate of two shillings per ton
per week.
A part of a day and a part of a week, as the case
may be, will be charged the same as a whole.

CROWN LANDS.—CLUTHA COAL RE
SERVE.—Notice is hereby given that the Re
serve will be withdrawn from that piece of land
bounded on the west by the Clutha River and on the south
by the Ocean, commonly called the Clutha Coal Reserve,
with the exception of sections Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5,
block I, Coast District, on Friday, the 25th day of
May next, when application for the purchase of the
same will be received.
