PROCLAMATION
Under the “Diseased Cattle Act, 1861,” rescinding Proclamation, 10th October, 1865, so far as the same affects that portion of the Province of Otago known as the Oamaru District.
By His Honor Thomas Dick, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the tenth day of October last, by virtue of the powers vested in me in that behalf, I did make, publish, and proclaim the Regulations therein set forth: And whereas it is expedient to rescind the said Proclamation of the tenth day of October last, so far as regards the Lands hereinafter described;
Now therefore I, Thomas Dick, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby rescind the said Proclamation of the tenth day of October last, in so far as the Lands hereafter described are affected thereby, but no further or otherwise (that is to say):
All that area within the Province of Otago, bounded towards the north by the Province of Canterbury; towards the east by the Waitaki River; towards the south by the Pacific Ocean; and towards the west by the Horse Range, Kakanui, and Hawkdun Mountains to Mount St. Bathan’s, thence by the Dunstan Mountains to the Clutha River, thence in a northerly direction by the Clutha River and the eastern shore of the Wanaka Lake to the Province of Canterbury.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, the twentieth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

I, THE Undersigned, Robert Gillies, hereby make application to register “The Blue Spur Sluicing Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—
- The name of the Company is “The Blue Spur Sluicing Company, Registered.”
- The place of intended operations is at Tuapeka.
- The nominal capital of the Company is three thousand five hundred pounds, in three hundred and fifty shares of ten pounds each.
- The amount already paid up is two thousand two hundred and eighty pounds.
- The name of the Manager is Robert Gillies.
- The office of the Company is at the corner of Princes and Dowling Streets, Dunedin.
- The names and several residences of the shareholder and the number of shares held by each at this date are as follows:—
