NOTICE.
Sale of Surveyed Lands lately within the Goldfields.
NOTICE is hereby given that applications for the sale of Sections in Blocks 1 and 2, Tuapeka District, will be received at the Gold Receiver’s Office, Lawrence, on Thursday, the 16th day of March next. Applications for the sale of Sections in Blocks 2 and 3, Leaning Rock District, will be received at the Gold Receiver’s Office, Clyde, on Tuesday, the 21st day of March next. Applications for the sale of Sections in Blocks 1 and 2, Shotover District, will be received at the Gold Receiver’s Office, Queenstown, on Thursday, the 30th day of March next.
Maps showing the Sections open for application in the Blocks above specified may be seen at the offices of the Gold Receivers, in Lawrence, Clyde, and Queenstown.

BLUESKIN DISTRICT ROAD RATE.
THE General Road Board having issued a precept for the payment of the District Road Rate, for the year commencing 24th June, 1864, recently authorised to be levied over the Blueskin Road District, to the undersigned collector of the said rate, Notice is hereby given to the ratepayers under the “Road Ordinance, 1856,” within the said Blueskin Road District, that the said rate will be payable to the undersigned, at his house, within the said district, on and after Wednesday, the 1st day of March, 1865, and that payment thereof must be made within thirty days from the said date, under penalty, in case of failure so to pay, of proceedings being taken for recovery thereof under the said Ordinance.

SANDY MOUNT DISTRICT ROAD RATE.
THE General Road Board having issued a precept for the payment of the District Road Rate for the year commencing the 20th day of October, 1864, recently authorised to be levied over the Sandy Mount Road District, to the undersigned collector of the said rate, Notice is hereby given to the ratepayers under the “Road Ordinance, 1856,” within the said Sandy Mount Road District, that the said rate is payable to the undersigned, at his house, within the said district, on and after the date hereof, and that payment thereof must be made within thirty days from Wednesday, the 8th day of March Inst., under penalty, in case of failure so to pay, of proceedings being taken for recovery thereof under the said Ordinance.

Sandy Mount Road District,
1st March, 1865.
IMPOUNDED on the 28th day of February, 1865, by Mr. Alexander Dodds, sen., one Bay Mare, branded B near shoulder, BN off neck, B off shoulder; one Bay Filly, blaze in face, no visible brand, Owners unknown, for trespassing in his Paddock at Blueskin, for which 2s. each is claimed for damages; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Blueskin, on the twenty-eighth day of March, 1865, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the sixteenth day of February, 1865, by Coll M’Donald, Ranger, Waikouaiti Hundred, one yellow Heifer, brand like J off rump, white star on forehead, tip cut off left ear, Owner unknown, for trespassing on Waikouaiti Hundred, for which five shillings damages is claimed; and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Hawksbury, on Friday, the twenty-eighth day of March, 1865, at 12 o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 2nd day of March, 1865, by Messrs Fenwick, one Chestnut Mare, aged, branded AB near shoulder, white on nose, and white blaze on forehead, Owner unknown, for trespassing on the Cape, Oamaru, for which no damage claimed; and in default of being released, the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound, Oamaru, on the 31st day of March, 1865, at 12 o’clock noon.

SCALE of Charges for Advertisements not to exceed the following, and to be paid to the Publisher:
1 to 2 insertions inclusive, 4s. per inch per insertion.
3 to 5 insertions inclusive, 3s. per inch per insertion.
6 to 11 insertions inclusive, 2s. 9d. per inch per insertion.
12 to 23 insertions inclusive, 2s. 6d. per inch per insertion.
24 to 35 insertions inclusive, 2s. 3d. per inch per insertion.
36 insertions and upwards, 2s. per inch per insertion.
Advertisements, to ensure insertions, must be left with the Publisher not later than 2 o’clock on the day previous to publication; but short advertisements will be received up till 4 o’clock.
Any person desirous of obtaining the Advertising Sheet, will please leave his address at the Superintendent’s Office. No charge will be made for the said Sheet, or for the delivery thereof. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Advertising Sheet should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
