SETTLERS within the various Hundreds may obtain Depasturing Licenses as under:—

For Dunedin and East and West Taieri, at the Land Office, Dunedin.

For Waihola and North and South Tokomairiro, at the Court House, Tokomairiro.

For East and West Clutha and Pomahaka, at the Court House, Balclutha. Clutha Ferry.

For Hawksbury and Waikouaiti, at the Court House, Hawksbury.

For Moeraki, Otepopo, and Oamaru, at the Court House, Oamaru.

on the 28th day of December, 1864, by Edward Downs, Ranger for the Dunedin Hundred, one Dark Strawberry Cow, branded B A off rump, and another brand like two short crooked walking sticks crossed on near ribs, 4 near rump; one Yellow Cow, branded L H near ribs, W O near rump; one Black and White Cow, no visible brand, Brown and White Heifer Calf at foot; one Poley Red and White Cow, no visible brands, Brown and White Heifer Calf at foot; one Black and White Heifer, no visible brands. Owners unknown. For trespassing on the Dunedin Hundred, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Blueskin on the 18th day of January 1865, at 12 o’clock noon.

The Ordinances relating to Sheep have been republished, and may be had of Mr. A. R. Livingston, Bookseller, Dunedin. Price, 1s.

SCALE of Charges for Advertisements not to exceed the following, and to be paid to the Publisher:—

1 to 2 insertions inclusive, 4s. per inch per insertion.

3 to 5 insertions inclusive, 3s. per inch per insertion.

6 to 11 insertions inclusive, 2s. 9d. per inch per insertion.

12 to 23 insertions inclusive, 2s. 6d. per inch per insertion.

24 to 35 insertions inclusive, 2s. 3d. per inch per insertion.

36 insertions and upwards, 2s. per inch per insertion.

Advertisements, to ensure insertions, must be left with the Publisher not later than 2 o’clock on the day previous to publication; but short advertisements will be received up till 4 o’clock.

Any person desirous of obtaining the Advertising Sheet, will please leave his address at the Superintendent’s Office. No charge will be made for the said Sheet, or for the delivery thereof. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Advertising Sheet should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
