[The Proclamation beginning on the first, and ending on the second column of page 30, of Gazette No. 367, dated 7th June current, not having properly described the Land intended to be reserved and withdrawn from sale, the said Proclamation has been cancelled, and the following is issued in lieu thereof.]
PROCLAMATION
Reserving and withdrawing for the purposes of sale certain Waste Lands of the Crown, situate on the Wakatipu Gold Field, in the Province of Otago.
By His Honor John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS on the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, I, John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in that behalf, did by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, constitute and appoint a certain portion of the said Province to be a Gold Field under the name of the “Wakatipu Gold Field,” and the limits of which Gold Field, I did, in and by the said Proclamation define; and whereas the lands hereinafter described are Waste Lands of the Crown, and are within the said limits, and form part of the said Wakatipu Gold Field so proclaimed as aforesaid, and no Pastoral License exists over the said last-mentioned Lands: And whereas it has been made to appear to me that the Lands hereinafter described are necessary for settlement, public purposes, and roads;—Now therefore I, John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that I do reserve and withdraw for the purposes of sale the Lands hereinafter described—that is to say—
All that area situate in the Wakatipu Gold Field, in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement eighty (80) acres, more or less, commencing at a point on a line drawn at the magnetic bearing of 284 deg. 15 min. from a rock at the junction of McConnachie’s Creek with Moke Creek, on which a bench mark has been cut, and distant therefrom four thousand two hundred (4200) links; thence bounded by a line bearing S. 21 deg. 5 min. E., eight thousand (8000) links; thence by a line bearing N. 68 deg. 55 min. E., one thousand (1000) links; thence by a line bearing N. 21 deg. 5 min. W., eight thousand (8000) links; thence by a line bearing S. 68 deg. 55 min. W., one thousand (1000) links, and intersected by Moke Creek: all bearings being magnetic.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

ORDER,
Making a certain Rule respecting the issue of Agricultural Leases within the Otago Gold Fields.
I, JOHN HYDE HARRIS, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, under and by virtue of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby make the Rule following, as to the issue of Leases for agricultural purposes of Waste Lands within the Otago Gold Fields, that is to say:—
A fee of twenty shillings shall be paid by the applicant at the time of making the application as the cost of the preparation of the Lease. The said fee shall be returned to the applicant if the Lease is not granted.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this seventeenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

THE above reward will be paid to any person giving such information as will lead to the conviction of the person or persons who carried away the UPPER BLACK BEACON from the Otago Harbor.
