THE Lessee of the Hillside Toll Gate has been duly authorised to collect Tolls at Caversham Toll Gate instead of the Hillside Toll Gate, and to use the last-mentioned Toll Gate as a Check Toll.

In the matter of the Petition of ANDREW HALDANE,
of Waikava, in the Province of Otago, Saw Mill Proprietor, a Debtor ; and in the matter of the "Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862."
WHEREAS the said Andrew Haldane did, on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four, with the concurrence of Walter Bell of Dunedin, Merchant, and John Bell Mudie, of the same place, Merchant, Creditors of the said Andrew Haldane to the extent of not less fifty pounds, present his Petition to Henry Samuel Chapman, Esquire, one of the Judges of the Court, resident at Dunedin, aforesaid, praying for relief pursuant to the provisions of "The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862." And whereas the said Judge being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said Petition, did thereupon appoint Monday, the ninth day of January then next, for the hearing of the matters of the said Petition, on which day the Petitioner duly attended before this Court, and the further hearing of the matters of the said Petition was adjourned to the thirteenth day of February then next, on which said last mentioned day the Petitioner again attended before this Court, when it was ordered that the said Petitioner, on or before the eighteenth day of March then next, or within such extended time as this Court should grant for that purpose, cede and deliver, convey and assign all his estate and effects unto the said John Bell Mudie, and James Mollison, of Dunedin, aforesaid, boot and shoemaker, then heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, according to the nature and quality thereof respectively, upon trust, for the purpose of selling, disposing of, getting in and receiving, or otherwise realizing the same; and in the first place paying, satisfying, and discharging all costs, charges, and expenses incurred by order of this Court, or incidental to the execution of the trusts of the conveyance and assignment to be made in pursuance of the said order, and all fees of Court, and all payments to the Insolvent Estates Fund payable under the thirty-ninth section of the said Act, and such other sums of money (if any) as should be ordered by this Court, and subject thereto, for the purpose of justly distributing and administering the clear residue of the said monies between and amongst and for the benefit of all the Creditors of the Petitioner at the time of the presentation of his said Petition, and who should duly prove their debts, by affidavit, within six calendar months from the date of the said order, by way of pro rata
