SCHEDULE — RULES AND REGULATIONS.

  1. The Landing Steps at all Jetties shall be open to the public, and no charge shall be made for watermen’s boats plying to and from said Landing-places.

  2. The Jetty Dues shall be at the following rates, on all goods shipped or landed:—

    Coals }
    Bricks }
    Lime } 6d. per ton of 40 ft,
    Wooden Posts and Rails } or 20 cwt.
    Salt }
    Sawn Timber }
    Stone }

Firewood, 1s. per cord; Wool, 6d. per bale; Horses, 1s.; Cattle, 9d.; Sheep, 1d.; Pigs, 2d. per head; Immigrants and Passengers’ Luggage free; all other goods at the rate of 1s. per ton. Vessels under 40 tons register shall be allowed four, and vessels above that tonnage shall be allowed, six working days to load and unload at the Jetties, as the case may be; and any vessel remaining longer at any Jetty shall be charged one penny per registered ton per day.

The dues shall be paid by the master or owner of the vessel or boat on board which the goods are shipped before loading, if required, or from which the goods are landed, before unloading, if required.

The Jetty Keepers are authorised to prevent goods being brought on to, or removed from, the Jetties until the dues payable on such goods have been paid.

  1. The Shed on the New Jetty, Jetty Street, Dunedin, will be at all times available for passengers and immigrants’ luggage. The charge for receiving, including delivery, of luggage and goods will be at the rate of not more than 2s. per ton; and for storage at the rate of not more than 2s. per ton per week. No charge for storage will be made for immigrants’ luggage for the first 48 hours.

  2. Water not to exceed the rate of 2s. 6d. per ton; but His Honor the Superintendent will not be in any way responsible for the continuance of the water supply.

MOERAKI HUNDRED.

THE Wardens of the Hundred of Moeraki have adopted the following Regulation with reference to Depasturing on the Hundred for the Year 1865:—

Every holder of a Depasturing License shall be entitled to depasture Stock, at the rate of one head of Great Cattle only, for every three acres of land he is in legal possession of within the limits of the said Hundred.

MEETINGS FOR THE ELECTION OF WARDENS FOR THE HUNDREDS OF WAIKOUAITI AND HAWKSBURY.

THE following are lists of persons who have taken out Depasturing Licences in the Hundreds of Waikouaiti and Hawksbury, prior to 1st January, 1865, for the current year, viz.:—

In terms of the 60th Clause of the “Waste Land Regulations,” I hereby call Meetings of the persons whose names appear in the above lists, to elect from amongst themselves persons to act as Wardens in the above Hundreds; places and times of Meeting and number of Wardens to be elected as under, viz.:—

At the Kilmog Accommodation House, on Monday, the 10th day of April next, at 12 o’clock noon, to elect Three Wardens for the Waikouaiti Hundred.

At the Court House, Hawksbury, on Tuesday, the 11th day of April next, at 3 o’clock p.m., to elect Three Wardens for the Hawksbury Hundred.
