PROCLAMATION,

Reserving and withdrawing for purposes of Sale certain Waste Lands of the Crown, situate in the Wakatipu Gold Field, in the Province of Otago.

By His Honor John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS it is expedient that the Lands herein-after described should be reserved and withdrawn for the purposes of sale;

Now therefore I, John Hyde Harris, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers delegated to and vested in me in this behalf, do hereby Proclaim and Declare that I do Reserve and Withdraw for the purposes of Sale the Waste Lands of the Crown situate within the Wakatipu Gold Field, and hereinafter particularly described, that is to say—All that area, containing by admeasurement six hundred and twenty-three (623) acres two (2) roods and thirty-six (36) poles, more or less, situate in the Shotover District of the Province of Otago, being sections numbered respectively 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 49, 50, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 134, 135, 136, and 137, block one (I.) on the map of the said District; bounded towards the north by Crown Lands, towards the east by Crown Lands, towards the south by Crown Lands, and towards the west by Crown Lands:

Also, all that area containing by admeasurement five hundred and thirty-six (536) acres one (1) rood and twenty-nine (29) poles, more or less, situate in block numbered two (II) Shotover District, being sections numbered respectively 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, together with the southern half of 38, the eastern half of 39, and all those parts of sections numbered respectively 16, 17, 18, and 19 to the west of a line commencing at the western corner of section 15, and passing in a due southerly direction to a road line bounded towards the north by Crown Lands, towards the east by Crown Lands, towards the south by Crown Lands, and towards the west by Crown Lands.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

Fixing and appointing the Resident Magistrates’ Courts at Clyde, Lawrence, Oamaru, and Queenstown as the places for holding Quarterly Licensing Meetings in the Licensing Districts of Clyde, Lawrence, Oamaru, and Queenstown respectively.

WHEREAS by the XI. Section of the “Licensing Ordinance, 1864,” it is enacted that if at any time there shall be more than one Resident Magistrate’s Court usually holden within any Licensing District, the Superintendent shall, by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette of the said Province, fix...
