WAKATIPU GOLD FIELD.
Refusal of Application for a Gold Mining Lease.
NOTICE is hereby given that His Honor the Superintendent of Otago has determined not to recommend His Excellency the Governor to grant the application of John Small, David Moore, William Moore, John Goodall, and Henry Pennie, for a Gold Mining Lease of 2a. 3r. 34p., situate on Few’s, or the Twelve Mile Creek, Lake Wakatipu.

TENDERS wanted from parties willing to lease the Lower Taieri Ferry House, &c., until the end of 1865, as held by the present lessee. Tenders to be lodged at the Superintendent’s Office by noon of Friday, 20th January, 1865. Further particulars may be had at the Office of the Secretary for Public Works, Dunedin. The Government will not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

IMPOUNDED on the 4th day of January, 1865, by John Blair, one Brown Mare, J C near shoulder, TC near rump, JC or TC off neck. Owners unknown. For trespassing on Kirkside Farm, for which 2s. 6d. damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above Mare will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri, on the 1st day of February, 1865, at 12 noon.

IMPOUNDED on the 10th day of January, 1865, by Mr. Hooper, one Red Cow, branded NC off rump; one Red Heifer Calf, no visible brand. For trespassing in Mr. Hooper’s garden, for which £1 damages are claimed, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at East Taieri, on the 1st day of February, 1865, at twelve o’clock noon.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned Robert Neill, James Denny Rankin, Archibald Chambers, George Munro, and Percival Clay Neill, as Merchants at Geelong, Melbourne, and Ballarat, in the Colony of Victoria, and Dunedin in the Colony of New Zealand, under the firm of M’Callum, Neill and Co., and at Talbot, in the said Colony of Victoria, under the firm of Neill, Bruce and Co., has been as from the 1st day of September last, dissolved by mutual consent, as far as regards the said Archibald Chambers, who has from that day retired from the concern; and that all debts due and owing to or by the late firm, will be received and paid by the said Robert Neill, James Denny Rankin, George Munro, and Percival Clay Neill.
