NOTICE.—Moeraki District Deviation.—
Whereas it is intended to stop up Portions of the Road situate and being in the Moeraki District, and which is hereinafter described, and is delineated in the map or plan referred to in the “Northern Trunk Road Lands Ordinance 1864,” copies of which map or plan are deposited at the Public School, Post Office, and Police Station, in the said district:—Now therefore I, James Paterson, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Northern Trunk Road Lands Ordinance 1864,” do hereby give notice, that all persons objecting to the stopping up of the said portion of Road are required to forthwith send a statement in writing of any well-grounded objection they may have to the stopping up of the said portions of Road, and to leave such statement addressed to me, at my office, in Dunedin, or at the Police Office in the said District within sixty days from the date hereof, otherwise such objections will not be considered by me.
Description of those Portions of the Road in the Moeraki District which the Superintendent is empowered to stop up.
8 chains in length, from 80 links wide downwards, from District Road between blocks I and II, Moeraki, to intersection with Southern Trunk Road; bounded on the west by the Northern Trunk Road; east by section 8, block II, Moeraki.
17 chains 80 links in length, 1 chain wide, from Northern Trunk Road, section 29, block I, Moeraki, to District Road between blocks I and II, Moeraki; bounded on the west by section 32; east by section 29, block I, Moeraki.
Dated at Dunedin this fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

IMPOUNDED on the 8th day of August, 1864, by Constable John Costello, one Brown colored Gelding, branded WA on off shoulder, blaze on face, off hind foot, white, switch tail, owner unknown, and for trespassing on the public streets of Dunedin. If not released, the above brown colored Gelding will be sold at the public Pound, North Dunedin, on the 30th day of August, 1864, at 12 o’clock noon.

In the matter of the Petition of George Batters Vause, of Tokomairiro, in the Province of Otago, Saddler, late Hotel-keeper, a Debtor; and in the matter of the Petition of James Finch, trading as James Finch and Co. of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago aforesaid, Merchant, a Creditor of the said George Batters Vause, to the extent of not less than Fifty Pounds; and in the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”
Upon reading the Petition of the said George Batters Vause, and the several affidavits thereunto annexed, and upon hearing Mr. Barton of Counsel for the said Petitioner—It is ordered that within the space of seven days from the date of this order, or within such extended time as this Court may grant for that purpose, the said Petitioner do convey, assign, and make over all his real and personal estate and effects unto James Finch, of Dunedin, Merchant, and William Bridgman, of Tokomairiro, Settler, upon trust for the collection and conversion into money of the said estate and effects, and the distribution of the net proceeds pro rata, and subject to existing legal priorities (if any) amongst such of the Creditors of the said Petitioner as shall duly prove their respective debts by affidavit, filed in the office of the Registrar at Dunedin, within the space of three calendar months from the date of this order; and upon and subject to such other trusts and provisions as the Court may, at or before the final hearing of the said Petition, direct or approve.
