The following Bills, which you have passed, I have reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon:—

Otago Public Buildings Loan Ordinance, 1862, Amendment Bill, 1864.
Education Reserves Management and Leasing Bill, 1864.

In now relieving you from your legislative duties, it only remains that I should express my earnest hope that the Divine blessing may follow your labours, and that this Province may continue to advance in all that is conducive to the welfare of its people.

I declare the Provincial Council of Otago to stand prorogued until Saturday, the 1st day of October next.

Information may be obtained, and Tenders with Samples deposited, at the office of the Provincial Storekeeper, till noon of Friday, 17th inst.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon of Thursday, the 23rd instant, for Gravelling eastern approach to Suspension Bridge, at North Taieri.

Specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin; and at the Police Camp, Outram, on and after the 17th inst.

The Government do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender.
