Dunedin, a Debtor, and in the matter of the
Petition of H. & E. Youngman & Co., of Dunedin,
merchants, Creditors of the said Francis Cook, to the extent of not less than Fifty Pounds
and in the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the above named Francis Cook on the 23rd day of May, A.D.
1864, with the concurrence of H. & E. Youngman & Co., presented and filed his Petition for the sequestration of his Estate for the benefit of all his Creditors and for relief according to the provisions of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862,” and that the said Petition has been accepted by his Honor the Judge, who has appointed Monday the fourth day of July, A.D. 1864, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for the hearing of the said Petition.

TO ARCHITECTS.
Designs for Public Buildings for the Government of New Zealand.
Auckland, March 30, 1864.
THE Commissioners for the erection of Public Buildings invite Architects in this and the adjacent colonies to submit to them Designs and Estimates for the Erection of the following Public Buildings at Auckland, viz:-
- Government House in the Domain.
- A Supreme Court House and Offices.
- A Post Office and Custom House (combined), fronting the Harbour.
A premium of £200 will be given for the best design of each of these three buildings, and A second premium of £100 for the second best design.
Plans of the several sites and views and information respecting the amounts available for each building, the accommodation required, and the mode of preparing the designs, &c., are detailed in the “Instructions to the Architects,” which may be obtained from the Secretary to the Commissioners at Auckland, and at the several Australian Colonies and Tasmania from the Colonial Secretaries thereof.
The designs and estimates (under motto) are to be transmitted to the Secretary of the Commissioners, at Auckland, on or before the 27th day of June, 1864, at which time and place all parties concerned are to attend.

A PROCLAMATION.
Appointing certain Districts under the “Marriage Act.”
By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight, Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander in Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS by the “Marriage Act Amendment Act, 1858,” it is enacted that it be lawful for the Governor, at any time, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to divide the Colony of New Zealand, for the purposes of the said Act, into such and so many Districts as he may think fit, and that every such District shall be called by a distinct name, and shall be a Registrar’s District, and it is provided that the Governor may, at any time, revoke the whole or any part of such Proclamation, and issue a new Proclamation dividing the Colony or any part of it anew into Districts, or increasing the number or altering the boundaries of Districts, as from time to time he may think requisite;
And whereas by a Proclamation duly made and issued, bearing date the 22nd day of July, in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, the Governor, in pursuance of the said recited power and authority, did amongst others constitute a District for the purposes of the said Act, called the “Wakatip District,” the boundaries whereof were therein set forth, which said Proclamation came into operation and took effect on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three;
And whereas it is expedient to revoke so much of the said Proclamation as relates to the said District, and to divide anew the territory formerly comprised within such District:
Now therefore I, Sir George Grey, the Governor of the said Colony in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said recited Act, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation, so far as relates to the “Wakatip District,” and do proclaim and declare that the territory formerly comprised within such
