Tenders will be received at the Provincial Storekeeper’s Office, Dunedin, till noon of Tuesday, 12th April, from parties willing to clean the chimneys of the various buildings occupied for Provincial Government purposes in Dunedin, for the remainder of the year, 1864. For further particulars, apply at the respective buildings. The tender must be at per chimney.

OAMARU TOWN BOARD—RETURN OF ONE MEMBER.

was this day elected a Member of the Town Board of Oamaru, in the room of Michael Grenfell resigned.

INCH CLUTHA DISTRICT ROAD RATE.
The Precept issued to John Darling, Inch-Clutha, by the General Road Board, for the collection of the District Road Rate recently authorised to be levied over the Inch-Clutha District having been cancelled and a Precept for the collection of said rate having been issued by the said General Road Board to the undersigned. Notice is hereby given to the ratepayers under the Road Ordinance, 1856, within the said district, that the said rate is now payable to the said undersigned at the house of John Darling, situated within the Inch-Clutha District, and that payment thereof must be made within thirty days from the date hereof under penalty, in case of failure so to pay, of proceedings being taken for recovery under the said Ordinance.

In the matter of the Petition of George Batters Vause, of Tokomairiro, in the Province of Otago, Saddler, late Hotelkeeper, a debtor; and in the matter of the Petition of James Finch, trading as James Finch and Co., of Dunedin, Merchant, being a Creditor of the said George Batters Vause, to the extent of not less than Fifty Pounds;

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862.”
TAKE Notice that His Honor Mr. Justice Richmond has appointed Monday, the Ninth day of May, A.D., 1864, at ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, for the hearing of the Petition of the above-named Insolvent. And take notice that interim sequestration of the estate and effects of the said insolvent was granted to James Finch, of Dunedin, aforesaid, Merchant, until and during the said Ninth day of May next; and also interim protection granted to the Person and Estate of the said insolvent from arrest, execution, or other legal process, except from arresting and holding the said insolvent to bail under a Judge’s order, until and during the said day of hearing.
