POSTAL.
Examination of Candidates for Employment in Postal Department.
General Post Office,
Auckland, 15th February, 1864.
NOTICE is hereby given that in all future cases of persons receiving appointments in any of the chief Postal Offices (except Messengers or Letter Carriers), the Candidates will be required to undergo a previous examination as to their general geographical knowledge, and especially as regards the geography of New Zealand and the Australian Colonies.
These examinations will be conducted by the respective Chief Postmasters.

SETTLEMENT OF BOUNDARIES OF RUNS.
INTERIOR AND WAIRAU DISTRICTS.
(Near Lakes Te Anau, Wakatipu, Wanaka, and Hawea.)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the boundaries of Runs Nos. 172, 303, 300B, 301B, 391, 894, 324, 389, 346, 350, 333, 337, 334, 338, 239, 240, 245, 340, 345, 330, 325, 339, 354, and 331, situate in the above districts, have been laid down on the Reconnaissance Survey Maps thereof, which may be seen at this office.
Any Runholder objecting to such boundaries must do so within three months from this date, after which period no such objection will be received.

THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS will be at the rate of 4l per annum, or 5s. per quarter, payable in advance to the publisher. Single copies of the Gazette not to exceed 6d. Subscriptions can commence at any time, but must terminate not later than 31st December.
PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged by the Publisher at the rate of 6s. 6d. for every inch or fraction of an inch.
THE GAZETTE is published every Wednesday morning, and Notices for Insertion must be received at the Superintendent’s Office not later than 10 o’clock on the Tuesday preceding. Any irregularity in the receipt of the Gazettes which are given gratis by the Government should be reported at once to the Provincial Secretary.
