I, Thomas Windle Parker, Returning Officer; hereby certify that, in pursuance of the Provincial Government Gazette notice of the 11th ultimo,

Were this day elected Members of the Town Board of Oamaru, in the room of Henry France, Thos. Glass, Edward Hudson, and William Falconer, who go out of office. The said William Falconer being re-elected.

IMPOUNDED on the 9th day of February, 1864, by constable Hughes,

TWO MARES,

one black branded J S on off shoulder, a number like a 5 on near shoulder, white star on forehead. The other light bay mare, branded H C on near shoulder, black legs, one of the foremost fetlocks white; about fourteen hands high; owner unknown; for straying about Town Belt, and in default of being released, the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Port Chalmers, on the first day of March, 1864, at 12 o’clock noon.

In the matter of the Petition of PATRICK JAMES SULLIVAN, of Invercargill, in the Province of Southland, a debtor not in custody, and in the matter of the "Debtors and Creditors Act," 1862.

NOTICE is hereby given, that His Honor Mr. JUSTICE RICHMOND has appointed Monday, the twenty-second day of February instant, at the hour of Ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Dunedin, for hearing the petition of the above named Insolvent.

OAMARU TOWN BOARD ELECTION.

IN pursuance of the provisions of the Oamaru Town Board Ordinance, 1862, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the 23rd day of February instant, at twelve o’clock noon, as the day and time for the holding of an election of one member of the Town Board of Oamaru, in place of MICHAEL GRENFELL, resigned, and I do appoint the Court House at Oamaru as the place for the holding of the said election; and I do appoint the same time and place as the time and place for the assembling of the persons entitled to vote at the said election; and I do appoint Thursday, the 25th day of February instant, as the day on which the poll shall be taken, if a poll be demanded, and that the said poll shall be taken at the said Court House; and I do hereby appoint THOMAS WINDLE PARKER, Esq., of Oamaru, Returning Officer, to preside at the meeting held for the said election.
