THE FOLLOWING APPLICATIONS FOR RURAL LAND WERE RECEIVED AT THE LAND OFFICE, DUNEDIN, FROM THE 18th NOVEMBER TO THE 2nd DECEMBER 1863, BOTH DAYS INCLUSIVE.

EXTRACT OF ADVERTISEMENTS from the “Provincial Government Gazette” of 2nd December, 1863:
9th December—At Noon, Two Cows, and Two Calves to be Sold at South Dunedin Pound.
16th December—At Noon, a Gelding to be sold at North Dunedin Pound.
22nd December—By Noon, tenders to be lodged for laying down Moorings at Molyneux Bay.
1st January, 1864—Applications for Depasturing Licenses within Hundreds must be made on or before this date.
APPOINTMENTS.
Application to be made by the date under mentioned:—
18th December—Apply in writing, with testimonials, for appointment of Engineering Draughtsman.
12th December—Apply in writing, with testimonials, for appointment of Assistant Engineer for Road Department.
Three District Engineers for Road Department Wanted. Apply to Secretary to Public Works. Bush Licenses to Sell Spirituous Liquors will not be granted in future within three miles of any town.

TOWNSHIP OF FRANKTON.
Situate at the junction of the Wakatipu Lake with the Kawarau River—At the Camp there, on Friday, the 15th day of January, at 11 o’clock a.m.
TOWNSHIP OF QUEENSTOWN.
Situate on the north bank of the Wakatipu Lake about four miles west from the Kawarau—At the Camp there, on Monday, the 18th day of January, at 11 o’clock a.m.
TOWNSHIP OF KINGSTOWN.
Situate at the south end of the Wakatipu Lake—At the Camp there, on Thursday, the 21st day of January, at 11 o’clock a.m.
