APPOINTMENTS TO BE MADE.
SURVEYOR — Applications to be lodged with the Chairman of the Commission on Roads and their Deviations. For information as to qualifications, &c., apply to the Chief Engineer of Roads on or before Saturday the 19th December inst.
A MESSENGER. Apply by noon of 16th December current, to the Provincial Secretary.
TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Secretary’s office up to four o’clock on the 1st instant; for the undermentioned supply of Forage, to be delivered at the Teviot Station in such quantities as may be required by the officer in charge of the Districts:
About 5 tons Hay or Chaff,
100 bushels Oats (Colonial), and
20 bushels Bran.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon of Tuesday, the 15th Dec., for the supply of 300 cubic yards of metal on the Road, Northern Trunk, to Port Chalmers.
Specifications can be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Road Engineer’s Department.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon of Tuesday, the 15th of Dec., for the supply of 800 cubic yards of metal on a portion of the Main North Trunk, commencing at the 4th, and terminating at the 6th, mile-post from Dunedin.
Specifications can be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Road Engineer’s Department.

Waikouaiti to Shag River.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon on Tuesday, the 22nd day of Dec., 1863, for the construction of about 2 miles and 60 chains of the Northern Trunk Road, through the Hawksbury District.
Plans and specifications can be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Road Engineer, Dunedin.

Tokomairiro River to Clutha Ferry.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon on Tuesday, the 15th day of December, for the construction of a lock-up at West Taieri.
Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the office of the Provincial Engineer.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary of Public Works until noon on Tuesday, the 22nd day of Dec., instant, for the supply of stone for pitching and for road metal for about 4 miles of the Southern Trunk Road, between south branch of the Tokomairiro River and the crossing of Lovell’s Creek.
