HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, has been pleased to delegate under the “Diseased Cattle Act, 1861,” to the Superintendents respectively of the Provinces of

Auckland
Taranaki
Wellington
Hawke’s Bay

Nelson
Marlborough
Canterbury
Otago
and Southland,

the several powers vested in the Governor by the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, and 10th Sections of the said Act, subject to be rescinded as in the said Act provided, and subject to the Regulations contained in the Order in Council of even date herewith.

Tenders for the construction of 40 chains of fencing, on the road from Waikouaiti to the Government Bush, to be lodged by noon of 3rd November, 1863.

Clutha Ferry to be let for the year 1864. Tenders to be lodged by 10th November, 1863.

Tenders for erection of a Court-House at the Molyneux, to be lodged at noon of 10th November, 1863.

Tenders for laying down moorings in Oamaru and Molyneux Bay, to be lodged by noon of 17th November, 1863.

Applications for Rural Land received between 28th September and 14th October, 1863, to be decided on 28th October.

POSTAL
MAILS BETWEEN DUNSTAN AND QUEENSTOWN.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, from persons willing to carry Mails between the Post Offices, Dunstan and Queenstown, via Arrow River, and Frankton, thence weekly each way from 1st December next to 31st December, 1864, but to be terminable at any previous period by six weeks notice in writing given by either the Government or the Contractor. Tenders to be at per annum, and mode of conveyance to be stated.

Days and hours of arrival and departure to be fixed by the Postmaster, and security will be required.

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest nor any of the tenders.

TENDERS will be received at this office on or before the 30th inst., from persons willing to carry Mails thrice weekly each way between the Post Office, West Taieri, and a Post Office to be established on the West Taieri Gold Field, from as early a date as possible, and to be terminable by one month’s notice, in writing, given by either the Government or the contractor.

Tenders to be at per annum, and mode of conveyance to be stated.

Days and hours of arrival and departure to be fixed by the Postmaster, and security will be required.

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest nor any of the tenders.

TENDERS will be received at this office on or before the 26th November next, from persons willing to carry mails weekly each way between the Post Office, Manuherikia Junction, and the camp on Switzer’s Diggings, from as early a date as possible, and to be terminable at any previous period by six weeks notice, in writing, given by either the Government or the contractor.

Tenders to be at per annum, and mode of conveyance to be stated.

Days and hours of arrival and departure to be fixed by the Postmaster, and security will be required.

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest nor any of the tenders.
