the purpose of electing two qualified persons
to be Members of the said Town Board, in
room of the following Members resigned,
viz.:—
DUNCAN MAINS
and
DAVID MILLAR.
And further, in pursuance of the said Ordinance, I hereby appoint John Gillies,
Esquire, of Dunedin, Returning Officer, to
preside at the said Meeting; and in the
event of a Poll being demanded, I hereby
appoint the Polling to take place in the
said School House, on Wednesday, the
nineteenth day of the said month of August,
between the hours of nine o’clock forenoon
and four o’clock afternoon.

ALL persons having claims under ap-
plications for unsurveyed lands in
the above Districts, who have not had
their claims adjusted, are requested to
apply immediately at this Office, as the
surveyed Blocks in the said Districts, are
shortly to be opened for Application.

ADDITIONAL QUARANTINE STATION.
IN accordance with the Proclamation
issued by His Excellency the Gover-
nor of New Zealand, dated 16th day of
December, 1857, to appoint Stations or
places for the performance of Quarantine,
by Vessels bound to the several Harbours
of New Zealand,—I hereby appoint as an
additional Station, within the Port of
Otago, the whole of the two Islands down
to low water mark, spring tides, described
on the Chart of the Harbour of Otago
by Captain Stokes as the half-way Islands,
as places for the performance of Quaran-
tine.
