INSPECTOR OF SLAUGHTERHOUSES APPOINTED.

Superintendent's Office,
Dunedin, 6th June, 1863.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him, he has appointed

John Charles King,

a member of Police Force of the Province of Otago, to be Inspector of Slaughter-Houses and of Cattle intended for Slaughter within the Dunedin Slaughter-House District.

TENDERS

TENDERS will be received at the office of His Honor the Superintendent until noon of Wednesday, the 1st proximo, for the erection of a MONUMENT to the late Captain Cargill.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that Tuesday, the 30th June instant, will be observed as a Public Holiday, in Commemoration of the Marriage of Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales.

NOTICE.

HEREBY GIVE NOTICE, that under the Authority of Clause 35, of the Harbour Regulations, I order that no Boats whatever shall go alongside of any Steamer plying in the Harbour of Otago while such Steamer is under weigh; any person willfully disobeying this order, shall be prosecuted as the law directs.
