NOTICE is hereby given that the Land comprised within the above Blocks has been surveyed, and all persons having claims under application for unsurveyed land therein are requested to call at this Office, on or before the 18th day of March next, so as to have the same adjusted.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

Chief Marine Board Office,
Auckland, 3rd Feb., 1863.

CAPTAIN J. M’LEAN, s.s. Aldinga, reports that on 24th August last, the above vessel struck a sunken rock on the South Coast of Otago, about three miles from the shore slope point, bearing N.E. by E. and Waipapa point N.W. ¼ W., with twelve fathoms close to.

The rock must have been small and pointed as the steamer struck it amidships, slewed round, and fell off head to sea.

The accompanying Notice to Mariners, in respecting a Temporary Lighthouse on Point Lonsdale, to warn vessels of their approach to sunken rocks recently discovered.
