CROWN LANDS DEPASTURING LICENSES WITHIN HUNDREDS

The attention of settlers within Hundreds is drawn to the 57th Clause of the Land Regulations, which provide that a depasturing license shall be granted to every such applicant who shall apply for the same to the Waste Land Board, on or before the 1st day of January in each year, provided that he shall have deposited with the said Board a return in the form of Schedule D, hereunto annexed, of the number of acres occupied by him aforesaid. All persons who neglect to take out such licenses before the 1st of January will be excluded from voting in the election of Wardens. Licenses may be obtained for the Waihola Hundred by applying to J. Dewe, Esq., Tokomairiro; for the North and South Tokomairiro, upon application to Mr W. H. Mansford, Tokomairiro; for the East Clutha, James Maitland, Esq., Kaitangata, or George Richardson, Esq., East Clutha; T. Bews, Esq., West Clutha (Warepa).

SALE OF CROWN LANDS

From the Form in which sales of Private Townships are occasionally advertised, they may be mistaken to be sales by order of the Government. The public, therefore, are requested to observe that all Government Land sales are conducted by a Government officer, and all notices of such sales are signed by the Chief Commissioner of the Waste Land Board.

Tenders will be received at the Office of the Provincial Secretary, till 4 p.m. of Tuesday, 5th December, for the erection of a temporary Lunatic Asylum. Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer. By Order, THOMAS DICK, Provincial Secretary, 17th December, 1862.


Tenders will be received at the Office of His Honor the Superintendent, till 4 p.m. of Tuesday, the 30th December, for the erection of a School House at Tokomairiro. Plans and Specifications may be seen, and Forms of Tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, till Friday, 19th December, and at the School at Tokomairiro from 20th to 28th December. GOVERNMENT ADVERTISEMENT

In respect to advertising, however, the Provincial Council is of opinion that the Government Advertisements should be confined to the Government Gazette; but that Government, at their discretion, should publish abstracts of advertisements in the daily and weekly papers.

Tenders will be received at the Provincial Secretary’s Office, till 4 p.m. of Tuesday, the 6th January, 1863, for the erection of a School and Master’s Residence at Saddle Hill. Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at the School-house at Saddle Hill. By order, THOMAS DICK, Provincial Secretary.

19th December, 1862.


Tenders will be received at the Office of the Provincial Secretary, until 4 p.m. of Tuesday, the 30th instant, for the construction of a Bridge across the Island Stream Otopopo. Plans and Specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer. By Order, THOMAS DICK, Provincial Secretary.

COAL RATIONS

The time for giving in Tenders for the Supply of Gaol Rations for the 6 months ending 30th June, 1863, is hereby extended till Tuesday, the 30th day of December current, at 4 o’clock, afternoon. Further information may be obtained at the Gaol. By order, THOMAS DICK, Provincial Secretary.
